Thank you for that Tom. Living near Mildenhall air base, these are not as such a rare site round these parts!
Paul, Tom, Nick and Aaron on tour 4. I'm being spoilt
They really haven't changed much in last two months. Got mine for £540 end of Novemeber.
Just ran a quick quote and they have gone up substantially since end of 2011. £628 :o
Cheers John,
Actually ended up buying a new lens so atm do not have any ND filters. I juggled between the two and went for a polorizing filter as I think I will get much more use out of that. May get myself an ND8 at some point as I know I will regret it when i'm out there! Got myself a plug convertor thingy and have plenty of 4 way adaptors here at home so all sorted for that. You at the Oxford bash in March?
Yep and just had a nice hailstorm. Cracked against the conservatory! Was not expecting it at all. My brother thought I was taking pictures outside and he came into my room and said he could see flashes outside. Went out and saw some IC lightning and distant rumbles N/NE
Hello there,
For tour 4 I have booked the BA0193 on 30th May. I have been told this is the ideal travel time and flight and the 'chaser' flight for tour 4. Bear in mind you will need to book a hotel for the night in Dallas before the official meet up/first chase day. The best western in East Irving is the one i have been told to go with as this is where the majority of chasers stay the night before.Return 11th June BA0192.
Just to let you between the banter on here that the ba0193 flight 30th may (tour 4) has been changed. It now flys out at 11:45 instead of 11:25. God knows why, just had an email from BA informing me.

Personally I would set aside a few weeks in summer. When the models look good, get yourself across the channel. Was planning to do this with a fellow chaser this year for a couple of days. I'd say NE.
lol! They said on five live news that they filed for bankruptcy protection "to restructure and reduce flight schedules". Basically they can't manage fuel prices and sell enough tickets!
What's the betting BA tickets will sky rocket now?!
Sounds like an absolute nightmare that I would really get very stressed about. That's all you need when you are anticipating getting home. Bit the bullet and paid the extra £100 for the upgrade to BA. Likewise I did not realise until I had booked that the return flight was with AA. Will read things more carefully in the future.
Lewis
Thank you Tom. Due to what others have been saying about AA, I have made a change on my flights. I am not a great flyer and the thought of it being made worse by discomfort just worries me even more.
Lewis
Ok so is the BA0192 on 11th June returning to Heathrow too early of a flight (allowing for travel from wherever we may be). I think the flight is around 5:30
Cheers
Lewis
I am actually considering changing the flight to the BA one now after reading these comments! Would cost me £100 + the extra £70 difference in price. I don't think it is worth the hassle and money really. Not a good sleeper on planes but may just pop a couple of pills lol!
