  1. The bad weather continues : in the majority grey skies, rain, rain and even more rain. The sky looks like someone has pulled a blanket across it. Yes there's the odd good day or so but they are rare. If I had the money I would bet that July and August will be exactly the same. It would be nice to have a decent summer after a run of some pretty bad ones (2007-2009, with 2010 obviously a "blip") but I guess it is not to be. Is it solely the fact of facing the Atlantic that causes the UK to have in the majority such bad weather or is there more to it? If you go more into Europe proper I bet it is absolutely roasting at the moment...how a summer should be....

Other than that: very unsettled with a lot of rain, endlessly grey skies, breezy, even cold...and it's June...not "Junevember"...and then the forecasters say how it's still warmer than average and dry... Will this be a re-run of the similar summers of 2007-2009 and is it the fault of El Nino / La Nina (spelling?) in the Pacific which seems to be able to affect weather across the whole world? Would be nice to see a bit of sun to lift the mood!! I can understand why people emigrate to sunnier climes.
