Was in the car driving round the Dorchester bypass from Ringwood to Yeovil about 1115 when it passed over. Low scrawly cloud out front then into a dark gray wall of water like a car wash. Traffic slowed to a crawl as the road flooded like a small river as it washed past us. With the wipers on full the windscreen was swamped and after an overhead flash of lightning and crackling thunder rawr the taps came on and the traffic stopped. Winds got up and buffeted us as the road river swept past, a few more flashes and then it calmed down to heavy rain for the rest of the journey home. Crazy crazy rain.

Here comes the cloud marching East past Yeovil, Somerset up from Deven way! I think ive seen this scene in an alien movie? :lol:

Its been the sunniest, blue sky day today here in Yeovil, Somerset (South West) we even hired a bouncy castle lol

lo folks, nice to know someones getting some interesting weather this year ^^ The partner and i had some free time this afternoon so decided to take our first 'storm chase'. There was a pretty heavy shower coming in on the radar so we went and got in it : ) saying that we sat in it as we jumped straight into a traffic jam lol Radar pic shows our shower, pic 1 is of the approaching storm and pic 2 is from 'Ham Hill' overlooking South Somerset and our shower running off down the A303, fun times cheers

Heavy rain that past 40 mins ago over Corscombe, Dorset in the South West. Heaviest rain we've seen for a while. Currently its soaking the girlfriend in Yeovil up the road.
