Very local, nothing wrong with that part of the world, much quieter than Hong Kong anyway!!
Nanmadol was an interesting one, it didnt seem to move from the seas east of the phillipines for ages, and was quite hoping to see some decent Fujihwara (sp?) effect happening between it and Talas. And of course if that doesnt happen then see it heading more west towards HK. SST's are quite high here at the moment and i dont think that IF a storm heads this way we would see that much in terms of weakening, other factors dependant of course.
Talas again, had so much promise to be a very large storm, but i presume its size prevented rapid intensification. Conditions just dont look favourable for intensification of that storm.
Saying about size, wasnt Typhoon Tip a huge storm, and extremely intense?
