Well that was an interesting walk back from school run this afternoon. Usually takes 20 mins to walk the 2 miles it took us half an hour!! walking into the wind all the way home. The kids were a bit scared having to walk past lots of trees and the idiots in their cars all trying to get home quickly! Im glad its half term now, a week to recover from all the walking in this miserable weather. Be safe one and all. -
Good evening all! Was driving back from amesbury back to bulford about 35 mins ago as I reached the top of our hill, which on a clear day you can see the white horse. There was a flash of lightning which lit the whole sky. Pretty spectacular. School run was interesting this afternoon as alot of parents were struggling to get to the school with trees done flooded roads and traffic delays mainly caused by traffic lights not working. Im now hoping to see a little bit of snow.

Evening all, the rain and wind are really bashing against the house now! Bought some candles up to bed with me just in case. The lights have started flickering. Spoke to my mum 10 mins ago she has no power at the moment. She lives in Porton about 15 min drive from me. Kids are snoring their little heads my other half is as well lucky them , oh and the cats have gone into hiding. Keep safe everyone.

Wind is alot lighter here today compared to yesterday afternoon, still raining not much as I thought we were going to get. Meto has my area down for heavy snow at midnight turning back to heavy rain by 3am . I will be setting my alarm clock just in case I fall asleep waiting to see my first snowflake of the winter.

Still no let up latest gust 28.8mph , we are quite sheltered here. two fence panels just fell apart into pieces didn't think they would last much longer.

Afternoon everyone wind has really picked up here in the past hour. Highest reading so far is a gust of 27.4 mph, heavy rain is battering the house as I type. Not liking this at all.

Just woke up to heavy settling snow.

Temperature here is -3 dew point-10 Very windy can here it howling through woods at the bottom of the back garden. Not looking forward to school run in morning brrrrrrr!!!!

Snowing here now. Hope it last for a while so the kids can walk home in it.

I can't help but feel a little deflated, doesn't look like my area is going to see much. I was hoping school would be shut tomorrow so we wouldn't have to do the 4 mile round trip (we walk) in the icy cold wind. Kids are hoping the boiler breaks again. For those who do get snow enjoy .

Well the fence panels have survived . Woken up around midnight by the wind. Scared the life out of me. Dancing Daisy hope you get better soon.

Just heard a cracking bang of thunder. Now patiently waiting for more fingers crossed.

Walked from Durrington to Bulford about half hour ago heavy snow came down for about 10 mins light rain again now.

Light snow coming down now. Not sure how long it has been coming down only just crawled of the settee.

Now feel slightly confused gone from yellow to amber back to yellow in the space of 20 mins.

Anyone on a mobile who can't see the locations I found if I go to the bottom of the page touch on full version it changes screen as if you were on computer. Hope this helps. Also not sure if it's already been mentioned or if it works on all phones. Any how roll on Friday snow snow more snow!!

Morning all! Another day glued to the forums,nevermind the cleaning snow watch is more exciting. Luckily we bought the kids sledges for Christmas Im hoping I get to use them !!! I mean they get to use them. Dull and damp here this morning .
