It's been raining buckets here too since yesterday. Raining again and getting rather dark to go with it. I'm way up north mind you but looks like it's gonna pour.
Currently 6.4 degrees here according the MetO. A rise of 0.4 from the update beforehand at the Ballykelly station. The Eglinton/Derry station on NOAA hasn't been updated since 6:20pm and then it was 8 degrees with a dew point of 4 degrees. Looks like I'm out of the frost game tonight
Cheers for that video Ronan! Live in Dungiven myself. Raging though because I'm stuck in an airport in London and I'm missing all the craic- not home until 6:45pm!
Guys, Finner in NW Ireland is indeed an error. It's an unmanned station so errors happen quite often in regards to the type of precipitation (rain, hail etc),
Thanks as always . I actually prefer that map where the world is spread out, much easier to look at! Sitting in the airport waiting on my flight to Sweden...gonna miss my daily fix! .
I'll be turning the heating on soon enough I reckon. I haven't had it on for months. Extra jumper and a blanket are doing the job for now though- I save my oil for when the cold really kicks in.
I can't imagine Northern Ireland breaking any records for October. Current highest temperature on the Met Office is for Aldergrove/Belfast at 15.9 degrees and it's dropping. Been a miserable day here in County Derry- 18.7 at 11am but it's dropped way down to 14.4.
Okay I have to admit that I've been a lurker on this board for a while but I finally got round to registering so I can post my excitement in this thread when the snow builds and comes closer .Going to Gothenburg in two weeks, doubt it'll be snowing that far down by that point but hoping it'll whet my appetite for the months ahead.
