Snowing quite hard here, I am currently just off Lottbridge Drove.

Hi Jas mate! Oh yes, its fantastic . Going to have a couple of hours of warmth then out to take some late night pictures around the local area on foot as the roads are now getting impassable!
Hi again matey! cant remember where you were, wasnt it meads way? me and the misses went out earlier in a snow shower but if it starts again we mght pop out again, nice covering already here.

That's weird as I am in Eastbourne and it hasn't been snowing in my part of town for at least an hour.
Chucking down here in langney/eastbourne for the last half hour too actually.

Ridiculous, ive had 2 hours sleep and i still get up early to check, yes its snowing, a very small covering but still very fine snow is comming down.

And for the first time this autumn/winter i can at last say that here in Eastbourne right on the coast at 0 asl we have snow grains! very light but settling very lightly and not melting!

yup agreeing with coast, snow in Eastbourne, not quite settling at the mo appart from on cars.

Rain for last half an hour, fairly heavy and blustery at 3c

Reports that is was snowing heavily in southampton after 4mm of rainfall earlier!
And i woke especially for this (sighs) looks like ive only got an hour of precipitation left down here so hopes fading fast...

Damn, i know that it was forcast here but been raining for last half an hour..... Anyone else have rain that turned in to snow?! (i soo wanted a day off work!)

Advice: Dont spend your life analysing weather charts, its a waaste of time. Whatever happens will happen whether you know or not, and chances are the charts are wrong and you get excited about nothing. And besides, snow is a lot better when it is a suprise, rather thn you thinking it is going to snow days before hand. Also it is a lot worse thinking something is going to happen, and looking forward to it, and it not happening.

Please stop with these silly comments. They come across as very childish. I dont mean to come across as a grumpy old sod but it is spoiling my reading of 'some' interesting comments'. Reading the charts has always been an 'up and down' experience and there is no point in complaining about a chart because you dislike it. The reason you are complaining yourself is because you've been following the charts and they currently are not showing what you or most of us actualy want. Damn i hate moaning so sorry about that.... carry on!

Had 1 or 2 cms of snow in the end this morning here in Eastbourne, on my slow travels up to Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill noted that there was a good 4 or 5 cms there. Mainly all melted now, heres hoping for more later on!

Lampost update........ temp now at about 4c (rubbish) and still sleety rain stuff.

Just below 3c here right on Eastbourne coast with rain much of the day but now rain/sleet, sleet visable on windscreen of the lorry.

Just had a brief snow shower here in Headley (Nr Reigate Surrey) not amounted to much..except excitement in the office !! big dark clouds looming to the east, there may be hope yet of a little more too come

I am forever forgetting to report on the 'sunshine coast' weather so im so delighted in telling you all that we had snow grains/graupel on and off all day, very light, pretty much the same as elsewhere it seems.
