  1. Yup been snowing consistently from around 09:00am (when I poked my head around the curtain) as hasn't stopped since. Small flakes generally but coming down at a reasonable rate with the heavier stuff due late today, can't really complain. Kids will be happy as it's looking increasingly likely schools will be shut again tomorrow!
  2. What makes you say this? Everyting I've seen today seems to indicate the west of the region could do quite well out of this!
  3. Well as others in MK have reported, it been snowing here for around the last hour or so. Nothing too heavy, but is providing a light dusting to surfaces it come in contact with (had to clear my windscreen when I left work about 17:40). Wasn't expecting anything at all today other than odd bits of graupel blowng around in the wind but can't complain and is a nice bonus to the main event kicking off tomorrow. I think a few us across the region may wake up to a few surpises in the morning
  4. So MKSnowAngel - what you reckon our chances are for MK ? Certainly looking a reasonable shout at the moment but could also be very borderline dependant on eastward progression.
  5. Started snowing again here in MK quite heavy although nothing sticking at the moment due to a slight thaw, but temperatures are dropping so fingers crossed for a top up on the overnight accumulations.
  6. Snow coming down with more intensity now, larger flakes but not settilng yet on paths and roads. Wasn't expecting to see anything until later this afternoon/ overnight! I think this is very much down to nowcasting and have a feeling the entire region should see something today at some point.
  7. Just started to snow again in MK (Linford Wood - Work ) Light small flakes at the moment nothing too substantial.... yet
  8. Ditto, in fact something even more bizarre has just happened the Lampost outside my window has just bloody turned off! I've have to venture outside to walk the dog in a bit so will report back my findings ( may give the lampost as swift kick to see if I can inspire any signs of life )
  9. Nothing in MK yet, still bone dry and cold, hopefully as the front intensifies we will see something falling from the sky. Will post if anything happens.
  10. Ah I've found my new home all shiny and warm. Looking forward to less frantic and contradictory discussions than on some of the some of the other threads. Anyone mind if I pull up a pew and make my self comfortable? Looking reasonable good so far for our neck of the wood MKSnowAngel, although not looking forward to the carnage of the gridlocked rounds around MK as happens after a few flakes start to settle on the ground. Still at least I can walk to work if the roads are too bad!
