do you know... i think the meto etc have cocked this one up!! lets see what happens
On everyone of the last three segments on my regional forcast they have changed it from a cloud to a snowflake as the time lapses.
Nothing so far but reports of snow very close at the moment.
-
Do tell more. How do you know? Sez who?
Seen it in a couple of places so far, something to do with it being so dry?
-
apparently its evaporating before it hits the ground/comes down. But it is there.
-
Its updated for both.
As far as i can see the yellow band warning for snow has not moved, they have however added a band for ice.
-
totally baffled ! is there a warning on met office for snow tonight and tomorrow or just ice?
for kent
Ice,follow the line with the symbol on.
-
well if the radar giving false returns met o must be reading them ,coz i just got a snowflake put on my area for now.?although that dont mean anything lol
-
Do you think this is shaping up for a good snow event for the whole of the south now as opposed to what had been forecast yesterday and this morning?
Certainly looks alot different to what i expected,
-
Thats what im seeing about to get eaten by a huge pink blob, and disappear off the face of the earth, but prob no snow in there, fingers crossed
yes under ppn but nothing
-
its just changed thats why lol
-
you are not far from me buckster!
-
It is supposed to majorly swing round, however i am unsure as to how far south that will get before it does?
-
Thats what i was thinking.................have to go work so cant radar watch,i wonder if my hair clients will mind me using there pc?lol
-
probably a stupid question, but is that ppn out in the north sea really gonna swing back west that quick?
-
It would be there on Meto because the WEST of your Region is looking like it will get Snow, The same for London & SE the West of our Region also is at risk hence wht Eastern and South Eastern is listed.
yes very marginal indeed, thank you
-
Still a yellow alert for snow in London and SE on MetOffice, I dont understand though as their yellow belt doesnt reach that far East.
Exactly, the list of regions only usually includes those in the belt of the warning, yet east of england on the list?Glad you pointed that out.

Back from my walk in the countryside, took this picture of a very handsome but cold looking horse in a snow covered field.
Very nice, hope he hasn't been out all night with no rug on though?
-
If this were to come off i would be pleased, the way some are talking, me in far east will not see a flake.
Also if this chart is correct why has the met o taken my snow away on friday altogether,it had it on this morning then took it off?
All it shows now is a black cloud.
-
I am surprised no one had invented buggy skis? Its a total nightmare pushing a buggy in the snow!
-
I would imagine that will change soon with the current output, meto going for light snow thursday night into friday region wide.
They just took my snow on friday away
-
oh dear, still time for change though?
Cant believe the met o just stole back the snow they gave me for friday!
-
No met o doesnt in 6-15 dayer.
But we talking about friday's possibilities?
-
Just saw bbc forcast. They are saying band moving south from up north.Exact areas and timings not known at present but hinted at more central parts. These could expect upto 20cm.For friday.
-
bbc just said looking at a band coming from north on friday, however they seem to be hinting at central areas mainly with falls of up to 20 cms!
Have to keep an eye on it,as they still unsure of exact areas and times.
