Still rumbling away, heading eastDeveloped out of nowhere - wasn't there 30 minutes ago. Somewhere is getting very lucky today.. amazing how quickly they pop up, but never where I'm located.

I do feel for you, that was my first overhead storm in about 50 years.. Good luck..You're about 15 mins drive from here, and like the rest of the country you're getting the goods. Nothing here, and looking at the trajectory of things on the radar there isn't going to be. Honestly I could stand on the top of a mountain with a lightning conductor strapped to my head and get nothing. Getting extremely annoyed now.

Storm around Castleford it seems.. can hear the thunder.
Just missed Castleford by about a mile can still hear the thunder tho...

Can hear distant thunder to my east, getting increasingly darker but think this may just skirt by me.

heavy rain shower just passed through Castleford, non of the good stuff though.. heading south now...

currently sat under a very large, dark cloud, but nothing.. not even drizzle!!! this is in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.....

Storm overhead now
