Let's hope the storm goes into France. I'm sick and tired of this weather likewise people in the southwest. Hoping for spring to come soon!!
I agree with you, sadly this ones got our name all over it, gonna be wild for sure!
-
Yeah the band of rain will pep up but the band is very thin at the moment!!!
For the moment! lol but sadly i dont expect it to stay that way, bracing ourselves down here!
-
The rain coming in from the south west doesn't look that bad according to the NW rain radar
It will pep up, trust me on that one, shes not even close yet
-
Too early to say with confidence. Some models blow the low up more compared to others. Hopefully he is right and we are spared another round of gales but it's on a knife edge currently.
Lets hope so AWD

Alexis on BBC South Today, claims the winds wont be a major feature on Friday/Saturday storm, more so rain......is this correct?! The charts ive been looking at would seem to disagree?

Just travelled from ours to Bournemouth, lots of surface water and several big tree branches snapped clean off. River levels very high

Big flash and boom here just a moment ago, incredible wind gusts as it passed through, what an eventful day this is turning into!!

I won't deny, it's rough as old boots here, but where i've just been, i had plenty of sphincter clenching moments, glad to be back home, although it's not much better here.
I Can well imagine!! Its awful here, the rain alone has been impressive to say the least but the gusts now are really kicking in, going outside, the sound is quite immense!!
-
Gusts really are picking up big time now out there, ill be honest I'm not a big lover of strong winds and I'm already quite scared! And allegedly the strongest isn't here yet?!
-

Is it just me or is that patch in northern france starting to expand westwards and northwards according to sat24? Probably just me and my bucket of hope!

There is saurkraut in my lederhosen?

Mmmmm nice, that had better come our way. Or that cell from Caen. I wanna try and photograph some lightning but the first thunderstorm I've had this summer happened when I didn't have my camera on me.
Obligatory current conditions in Verwood - blue sky and high cloud, something a little darker out the window to the SW.
Nice to have a fellow Verwoodian on here!

Just to save everyone the embarrassment of a wrong Google search result, here is the Brest webcam page.....
I did end up on the wrong page, although the result was still extremely impressive!
-
The skies are beginning to clear a bit now, some
brightness occurring, maybe that will set off something later?!
Hope so! Can't believe all the activity that was going off and i didn't see one flash!! Only heard thunder in the distance! Typical!
