    I got some bottled water and have got a few dinners I can cook on the gas hob if the power goes... Oh and plenty of alcohol

    I haven't really been keeping much of an eye on where this storm is building from, other than knowing it is coming from the west. But this sentence from the Daily Mail is confusing me 'A storm is currently gathering strength in the Gulf of Mexico, before heading across the Atlantic towards the UK'. I am not entirely sure how such a storm could get to us as it would surely need to pass over Florida first, also it would need to move at a fair rate of knots to get here in 72 hours?? Or am I missing something, well it is nearly 2am in the morning...

    Yes it was closed for some time The new trees are only just now starting to get a decent height!

    Yes I had just moved here, although Mum's childhood 'neighbour' was the one and only Mr Fish, when she lived in Old Town.

    I had no landline or broadband for about 3 hours this morning and just as it came back the heavy rain started so I lost my sky satellite signal!!!

    I certainly heard the Chinook I am working at the weekend so today is my day for Airbourne! Hoping the clouds lifts like yesterday afternoon when I was at Birling Gap beach...

    Seems like storms are missing us again!!! Keep seeing and hearing of storms everywhere else, but saying that at least it is a bit easier to sleep at night with the cooler weather

    In Crawley today working, went out for lunch and it was very hot and humid, with grey clouds building up. Now chucking it down with rain!!!
