ok thank you
Just not a great lover of the wind lol

Have noticed the BBC Forecast has the rain not as intense as it comes over the south east. Could the winds and rain get worse as it reachs us instead.
-
The metoffice rainfall map now have the rain coming through alot earlier also.
-
So does that affect where the winds will be?
-
so where does the latest model show the storm?
-
My understanding is that in a marginal situation such as this, the heavier the precipitation, the more likely you are to see snow and vice versa. If the low is shallower, precipitation will be less intense and hence there is less chance for snow.
Correct me if I am wrong.
Ok thank you

On another forum again somebody has put:-
"12Z NAE is generally shallower again and has a less intense snow area as a result"
What does this mean. Sorry to be a pain to everyone but im not really any good with the terminology etc.

I have read it on the wiki. Could it affect the uk?
-
On another forum somebody has put that there is a sting jet north west of ireland. What does that mean?

A post I found on another website. I dont understand the satellite pics etc but what does it mean?
Feature seemingly just starting to emerge from beneath the polar front cloud band in the imagery now - off we go !

Your wish is granted :smilz38:
Below is the latest from the GFS it shows the low passing through the English Channel tonight,
No where in the UK is really expecting any winds at all the worst of the winds will be over France and some of Europe,
After this the colder weather will set in as you can see in the chart below there is around 40% to 60% risk in the area's highlighted for Friday morning,
With temperatures being low for most parts frost and ice will also be an issue,
Thank you. So as we get closer is this forecast looking like the most likely one to happen now.

Areas for snow at most risk are western-central-southern England & Wales but the risk extends all across the southern half of the UK albeit the very far south!
Thank you.
