I don't think it's that much of a big ask! On the continent the high pressure is meant to be at it's peak so could it not be possible for a shift westwards? I feel sorry for places like Bulgaria hitting -29 though it's only going to get worse for them I guess
sorry I meant at it's peak on sat through to sun

Most of the time if there snow a mile from me it'd fizzle out before it gets here so I'm not optimistic for the SE not that I would want to be anyway I'm going to stay excited until Friday night when we have an idea. I'm saying an idea because even 12 hours out no one is doing a good job. I have alot more faith in netweather members on what is going to happen. The un-biased members anyway. I'm happy just seeing snowfall let alone lying so I might not see much dissapointment. So for now as I still have no clue I'm looking forward to at least believing it will

-2 here in Leigh no wind and a very clear sky.
-
Sometimes I look at the weather on my iPhone and get depressed when there are no icons for snow then I realise dec 10 I had been predicted cloudy skies and got 10cm. I'm not optimistic at all haha
-
Still ties in with the mets 3-5 day then, wouldn't it be nice if on Friday we have a red warning for snow :o if only
for Saturday that is
-
Have I missed anything in respect To the weekend runs?
-
I think the reason I asked was because people are pretending to know what's going to happen! Thanks anyway I'll stick around no worries!
-
Is the weather meant to get cold again after the weekend? No luck in the end with snow not a flake left on the ground oh well!
-
I'll figure out how to do that I'm in golborne at the moment but live in Leigh just west of Bolton, a little further east I've been told by customers it's begun to be heavy rather than dandruff
-
Light snow shower turning heavier quickly, can't see it lasting long
-
Some thing just fell from the sky couldn't tell you what it was, tiny blades of ice maybe :/
-
I wouldn't lose faith the Atlantic had us by the dangly bits for the best part of 2 months so there could be a slight jab from the west at the weekend. Hopefully further east
-
I think well do well apparently the gfs is pushing the warm front back for the weekend however it's only one run, not consistent. Don't know what that would mean for us. I find I'm staring at every tiny cloud that comes over my house for snow potential
-
I'm in Leigh, between Wigan and Bolton it's just changed to moderate to heavy drizzle
-
I have snizzle
-
In the past god knows how long here even if there's one tiny cloud in the sky I've had rain and now the clouds are dark and it's 100% cloud cover there's not even one spot of drizzle. Not to mention it's colder in my house than outside!
-
I think it's knitting a snow blanket for you!
I'm just on my phone so everything out of sync but I do see rainfall breaking east away from the band that might pop over Liverpool?
-
Thankyou and thanks for the quick reply! I've been watching the model output discussion for quite sometime, learning a little bit from that however it seems most members posting there aren't from the northwest and are more in the southern counties or to the east. That way the northwest never gets a mention so I've been waiting for the northwest regional to come back on. Fingers crossed this time but there's still 4 weeks left I guess
-
Hello I live on just to the west of Bolton do I have much chance for snow? I'm not very good with models and have no clue!
-
If only we knew, the weather can change so fast. I personally don't think well get long periods of cold weather but it's going to be up and down for sometime, I know well still be getting a northwesterly breeze sometime tonight and Christmas will be a more traditonal English day however mixing everyones predictions the law of sod tells me new years will be a crisp one, hopefully!
I've not put my location on my profile yet but it's Leigh, Wigan.

Met warnings say it's likely for snow to turn to rain later on Saturday however there likely always seems more like a maybe, so let's hope that changes
alls I can say for the BBC headline is nothing has won until the end of it and there are no winners!
