SKY NEWS’ FRANCIS WILSON TO VISIT NATIONAL MARINE AQUARIUM FOR SEMINAR ON CLIMATE CHANGE A Sky News presenter has been invited to be guest speaker at the National Marine Aquarium. Weather presenter, Francis Wilson, will be at the Plymouth-based Attraction on Monday 10th April 2006, where he will be discussing his views on climate change during a lunchtime seminar. Members of the public will have the opportunity to see into the world of a Chartered Meteorologist, during Francis Wilson’s short talk on climate change at 1:00pm in the Discovery Theatre. A question and answer session will follow, where all will be revealed into what life is really like behind the scenes at Sky News. The Aquarium hopes that discussing issues on climate change will raise public awareness to the causes of climate change and encourage people to consider the long term effects their actions have on the planet. Explorocean, the Aquarium’s new £3.6 million pound interactive centre, looks at the different effects on climate change through exhibits such as Climate Lab and Ocean Energy. Hannah Pritchard, National Marine Aquarium’s Assistant Marketing Manager, said: “We are delighted to have Francis Wilson here to share his wealth of knowledge on all issues relating to climate change. This is a great opportunity for people, not only to talk to someone with over 20 years experience in Meteorology, but to then go and see for themselves how the effects of climate change is changing our world by visiting our new Explorocean zone.” Climate Lab will feature the very latest information on topical issues relating to climate change from across the world, thanks to footage sent from Sky News direct to the Aquarium’s new virtual studio. sorry for the late reply, have been busy. what iw as saying was the only time my WD is not updated is if my computer is off. the only time my computer is off is either when windows instals its updates in the middle of the night and restarts automatically or i am doing my mainetenance or if we have a power cut. the rest of the time it is on 24/7 i don't have any issues with it overheating as every week at some point it is turned off for 5 minutes whilst i get a makeup brush around all the gubbins inside and clean all the dust off etc The fan blades are included in this regime too and in about another couple of months it is due is six monthly total strip down to clean inside stuff.

ah right, ok now i understand why we are windier than expected (and it's nothing to do with the amount of baked beans )

I thought when you were in the middle of a low or even high pressure system, it was not supposed to be windy? ie it is usually the calmest place to be. looking at the charts i am in the centre of a low, my baro is reading 979mb the charts indicate the centre is 980mb and the net weather forecast for my area is saying just a nice gentle single figure breeze (put in postcode KW14 to see what i mean) yet we have winds of 20+mph - why?
