  1. I don't think there is any hype about more snow is there? As others have said 'chance of light wintry precip of rain, sleet and snow tomorrow morning!!
  2. Finchley had around 10cm - was staying there last night, well tally ho north finchley. Thick snow - blizzards last night!
  3. As I said previously their are some very jealous people in the MOD thread at moment. Clearly "let's take a stab" at the SE is favoured at the moment as it look like we are the best location for the front. Or the North West members are longing for the front to stay further west - but as is currently being modeled its due to stall over us for 30 hours. Stick with us in here. To much negativity in the MOD thread
  4. I actually find the MOD thread ridiculous - talk about "haters" for the SE. They are willing us to stay dry and think we will miss out - have they not seen the 12z's Screaming jealousy by the looks of it. I have stayed out of the MOD thread since Monday and for good reason! Pop my head in there today and it's the same old! Sticking with regional thread :-)
  5. The 12z gives 30+ hours of snowfall for the Capital of England - WOW UKMO says "yes" too
  6. No it's for real - Peter C goes for a switch over to rain on Sunday with temps at +5c in London
  7. On the money with the SE staying dry? Lol You would be very foolish to think that! That forecast IS NOT on the money what so ever
  8. If it does stall over us.. Where do u think the snow line will be before it turns to rain out west! I'm thinking Oxford?
  9. Well the deputy Chief Forcaster at the MET on the video seems to think it will stall over the SE.. I'll go with that for now :-)
  10. Well at the moment most TV forecasts and also the latest MET Office video at the top of this page go for the front stalling over SE. My point is he still thinks it will turn to rain for us. Which means you get rain too
  11. Peter C on BBC London going for a change over to Rain come Sunday! I think the guys in the midland thread won't like that either as they seem to think they have the snow event worse than us.... I think not..!
  12. Chris Fawkes on a BBC news report on the lunchtime news said - the first significant snowfall for London and the SE.... The report then went on to compare Dec 2010 events that closed heathrow.....
  13. Hi Steve, Weather forecasts and members going with the front properly over us on the weekend, seems an eastward extent of the front today also. You highlight a big "IF" the front even reaches us! What are the chances of it stalling out west? TV weather forecasts and BBC London seem confident of a snow event at the weekend.
  14. No showers for our region YET. Looks like the areas towards the wash are having reasonably snow flurries this morning- these are now pushing into the NE midlands. As for our region - east Kent looks to be a good place tonight but that's it.. So once again London area herts/Essex is in no mans land for convection today! The weekend is looking very good. We look set to keep the cold and snowfall amounts look promising.
  15. A small chance for very light flurries towards the coast tonight. 5/10 miles inland = no chance. Usually we suffer from the agony of DP's being to high now they are to low - haha
  16. Models/ TV / NetW members all suggesting looking very dry for SE.... Lets hope the weekend can produce! My feeling is this block will hold of that front at the weekend - I'm all for the cold air to stay but if we don't see any ppn it's pretty rubbish IMO. Would prefer mild and sunny I mean the beaches of Greece have turned white - parts of north Africa have lying snow - yes Africa... and I'm not talking about the Atlas mountains. My sister lives in Milan and she text this morning saying its snowing, settling fast - locals are going crazy, they all like big kids... Haha I'm starting to feel sorry for our poor little island.. Come on Snow... You know you want the UK really :-)
  17. It wouldn't suprise me... Haha It's ironic- we are in an easterly and yet Wales and SW have had reasonable snow... East and SE just dandruff snow yesterday.. Lol
  18. Oh dear - John Hammonds forecast on news 24. Dry tonight/ tomorrow and Friday! Only the weekend looks good for snowfall in our part of the world - South east. Something I guess
  19. Just watched the latest news 24 weather with Nick miller. He now shows the SE dry on Friday saying the possibility of a couple snow showers. So it went from Chris fawkes at midday saying " poss significant snow on Friday for East, SE.. One to watch" Too Nick Miller at 15:30 saying " poss a couple showers on Friday" and showing Dry. Just goes to show that its not just the models changing every 4 hours it's also the TV forecasts as well.... Lol
  20. Chris Fawkes just said on latest beeb forecast on N24 " significant snow moving into the East on Friday - with focus over our region :-) He also confirmed big concerns for weekends snow. If the front doesn't pull away to the SE some very significant snow to come
  21. That's why I haven't been over to the MOD thread since Monday as its wrist slitting and the same old moans and groans - taking every run as gospel. There so brainwashed on looking for a breakdown to mild and when the next SW'ly winds are going to come that they failed to appreciate the cold spell is here in front of their noses!
  22. Seems most of these grains are towards Kent! At my mates in NE London - nothing here! Thick cloud now breaking up. I can see blue sky
  23. Snow grains falling here - very light obviously! Just watched BBC London weather - she said a few Snow flurries towards the North East of London later! Ok nothing substantial but a lot better than the national forecast!
