  1. Much as it pains me to say it, all the signs are that these weekend fronts are not going to make it as far as me in west London. You guys in Wales could be in for a treat assuming the front does not stall in the Irish Sea. Whatever happens the trends are looking for the cold to hang on a lot longer than the beeb are currently predicting
  2. New NAE 12z out and it looks like an upgrade for most of south wales http://www.weatheronline.co.uk/cgi-bin/expertcharts?LANG=en&MENU=0000000000&CONT=ukuk&MODELL=nae&MODELLTYP=1&BASE=-&VAR=prty&HH=6&ZOOM=0&ARCHIV=0&WMO=&PERIOD= Starts at 18:00
  3. We are only seeing a little of the front at the moment and if the approach is from the north west (i.e.heading SE) then the coatal areas of Wales are much more likely to see snow. As I said earlier, much as I would like it to I cant see the front getting any further than Bristol before it gets pushed back
  4. It does appear to be,little movement since 2 this afternoon
  5. Latest ECM front does not appear to have progressed very far east by monday lunchtime http://www.wetterzen...ics/Recm481.gif
  6. Thanks for the welcome, all eyes to the radar now for you guys in Wales you need that front over ireland to move at a snails pace, the faster it moved the better for us in the the south east of England. As I said earlier if it gets further than Bristol I will be amazed. Intersting FAX chart for Wednesday with no sign that the atlantic will win this one http://nwstatic.co.uk/fax/PPVO89.png
  7. The more I look at this the more I am really surprised the weather warnings for your neck of the woods havent been upgraded. You guys are looking at a significant disruptive event here, with a stalled front held in place by a biting east wind. Shame I'm way out east near London
  8. Ah but you are inland with a bit of height with you anything you get will certainly be snow, you look to be just inside the envelope
  9. yep looking great for you guys in wales, what the NAE does not show is the rain/snow mixes that will be seen at low levels and once the intensity peps up it will be heavy snow even at sea level
  10. Looking at the current output I would be amazed if the eastern leading edge makes it as far as Bristol, I think Bridgend, Cardiff and possibly Newport could sit in the sweet spot for many hours and with the current predicted intensity of the front It looks like even low laying areas could be in for significant accumulations
