Snow falling here still after a lull for a couple of hours. Still not heavy enough to settle yet.

I think the snow band will start to head south soon, judging by the radar. Fingers crossed.
Also the Sun will soon set in a couple of hours time as well.

Remember 3-4 days ago we were expecting 5-10cm quite widely at low levels.
eeerrrr. No chance
If this setup takes place during Xmas time it would've been different because of the low sun, etc.

Today:
A frosty and bright start, with mostly sunny skies across the north. Southern areas will tend to see more in the way of cloud. Staying dry but cold for all and turning breezier through the day. Maximum temperature 5 °C.

The Thursday/Friday's weather warning basically where will the front gonna likely stall at. Obviously somewhere between North Midlands and S. Scotland.
The Met Office will put a amber somewhere in that warning area, hopefully it will be stalls in the middle of North-West region, preferably around Chorley Area.

Look on the bright side. It is still better than the usual 10 minutes of transitional snow than recently. We are looking at probably about over 5-6 hours of snow before it turns to rain. That's plenty of time to have deep snow cover in low parts.

I will reserve judgement for the weather warning for now until the time comes.
