You seem to forget that you were new to the forum once and spent time looking for help, almost looking for an impartial forecast. Answers like yours do nothing to help those who, like yourself once was, are new the forum and looking for help trying to make sense of the ups and downs that we are seeing lately run to run in the models. People once had patience with you and all that is asked is that you pay back in kind.

  2. http://news.sky.com/story/1053560/weather-snow-fears-as-temperatures-plunge

Temperatures are set to nose-dive across the UK with fears bitterly cold winds from the east could bring a blanket of snow.

Relatively mild weather is expected to deteriorate from Wednesday onwards, with the onset of icy gusts from Scandinavia.

And with temperatures forecast to fall close to freezing, the chances are increasing of another batch of snow as the weekend arrives.

Sky News meteorologist Christopher England said: "The really cold days are going to begin on Wednesday, when we'll see some easterly winds coming in from Scandinavia.

"At the moment we've got temperatures of around seven, eight or nine degrees Celsius (44.6-48.2F), but it will be more like two or three (35.6-37.4F) later in the week.

"That will certainly mean widespread overground frost.

"Those sorts of temperatures are going to last into the weekend, when we might even see some snow flurries in the south.

"It will be cold enough for snow, but that's all we can say at this stage."

Parts of the country received up to 4ft of snow at the end of January.

The weather left hundreds of motorists stranded as travel networks were crippled, with disruption continuing as melting snow and heavy rain caused flooding.

  3. Seems the flow is turning more southerly again - the East Lothian band is just sat righ to our east only giving relatively light stuff into the city at the moment. That band heading up from the border looks pretty potent though.

. Lss when will the borders band hit dunfermline as I'm getting sick of praying behind my curtains....
  4. Ok, heaviest band seems to have arrived, and by the radar I'd suggest this is likely to spread across Edinburgh for the next few hours. Small flake size to start with but visibility is dropping dramatically and we might just be in luck now.

Although most of it out of my window is stuck dancing up and down in a localised eddy current which is quite pretty but not exactly helpful.

Siiting in the office in central edinburgh at the mo!!! hope your right
