  2. Not feeling confident in Ipswich, Kent looks like it's going to be good tonight though!
  3. Good to see someone else from Ipswich! Fingers are crossed.

  5. The weather in Africa has always interested me but there seems to be very little information on it! Do weather fronts ever actually cross Africa e.g cold fronts? I'm only new to weather so sorry if that's a silly question! It's just looking at the charts there only ever seems to be high pressure with storms forming because of the intense heat and high humidity. The best storms I've seen have been in West Africa and I am going there again in October. So I would like to try and expand my knowledge so I can predict and monitor storms, film them and put the footage on youtube! Not that long ago a supercell storm crossed Accra, Ghana, where my father was and brought with it 60-70mph winds, driving rain and a possible tornado. Several people were unfortunately killed, but I was wondering why nobody ever shows an interest in the weather there when it is very interesting!
  6. Hello, think I've posted this in the wrong part so please move if so! But I am going to west africa in october, and they have the most terrific storms over there! October is a mini rainy season so hopefully I will see some. But anyway, does anyone have a link to some weather charts for west africa? like the lift index etc so I can see the possibility of storms on certain days? Thanks for any help!
  7. Wow, had an incredible rain storm today, with a few flashes of lightning too. The rain was the heaviest and most intense I have ever seen in the UK, it was so heavy it ripped a hole through the roof at Tesco and for about 15 minutes there was just a waterfall of water! The car park was also under a few inches of water for a time, it was like a river!

  9. Yeah the last two summers have been poor, this year I had a thunderstorm, well more of a shower every day for about 10-11 days straight. I guess we're just better placed in terms of the ingredients for thunderstorms.
  10. Hate to be a pain, but as this cold front moves north east will my chances increase later on in Ipswich?
  11. I'm just about included in the area so fingers crossed! Need to see more development first though!
  12. Wooo, I'm in Suffolk! If I see any storms I shall upload them to my youtube account. "Weathermangeg"
  13. Currently 25.2C here, Any chance of storms in suffolk as the cold front sweeps through tonight? Clear skies currently, haven't seen any clouds at all for the past few days! Off to Florida in a few weeks hopefully see some decent storms there!
