Also the shower yesturday they only said around 2 - 5 cm on low levels. Shrewsbury is low level and we got probs around half a foot here. So until Sunday evening will we really know the true outcome.
Oh and the met o just updated the weather symbols for here and it's now got heavy snow pretty much all day, Werid do they no something we dont. Hope so

17cm of level snow. That's more than Dec 2010 or Dec 1995 managed. It's certainly the most round here since Feb 1991, possibly 1987.
4 years without any significant snow ends like this.!

Shower stopped now, it was encouraging to see, put a bit of slushy snow on some surfaces, but we need to get the temps down next. DPs are OK but air temp is still hovering around 3C which usually means it'll disappear quick once it stops falling.

Looking at the radar the showers will be moving thought pretty rapidly. So going to need a train of showers to have some decent accumulations

So is Shrewsbury expected to do good out of all this. We normally miss out on all the exciting weather.
