  1. i'm going to watch the frost this morning, if it stays... in with a chance.. if it melts, i'd be expecting rain
  2. lousy timing of this weather system, as with 2 days ago, it comes in during warmest part of the day. alarming rise of temp this morning. I'm ready for disappointment it's a question of whether the rain can turn wintry, before it clears through

  12. very broad warning, from the north-east of England all the way down to Plymouth, very cautious wording, and the impact matrix graphic with the tick at bottom (unlikely end of the scale) This is a forecasting nightmare !
  13. look at the impact matrix graphic, same as the one for the south-east, the tick is bottom, next to unlikely.. shows the high amount of uncertainty
  14. rain reports have begun. pretty much, to plan. at first, it was going to be rain, away from high ground turning more wintry later, and the showers coming behind, should be very wintry, even to low levels shocking that there is no update yet from Met Office, regarding Thursday.. a nightmare for anyone trying to plan a trip that clock... always ticking... not able to wait until the last second
  15. More like fire up the jet, and send a dartboard low across the atlantic
  16. our 'near' non-event is actually a named storm !! just saw a tweet from Met Office named as 'Storm #Gabriel' by the French Met office Bloody French have nicked our snow again !!
  17. waiting on spotlight david braine weather - coming right up edit: after the forecast only high ground briefly for rain to turn to snow, but wintry showers will follow behind, even to low levels
