  1. It's all getting going over there now. Lots of warnings, although the southern end of the dry line/cold front nr DFW seems to be a better chase option.
  2. For this episode i'm thinking of a target of east of Broken Bow in Oklahoma. Eagletown would be a good place to start as swinging southeast is an option. I wouldn't want to go to far east. Beware the trees!
  3. Cheers mate, I took them with my Galaxy Ace, getting pretty old now but not a bad camera. Will try and post some more as the storm season gets going :-)
  4. Any signs of a later than average start to the season are great news as far as i'm concerned (even though I don't like to be selfish lol) Tornadoes a plenty in the high plains in early June would be great for some awesome structure and great views.
  5. I seriously hope there will be some rain in the drought hit areas, we had enough dust last year. I'd like to see a tornado not a mass of dust!
  6. Looks as if you picked the perfect point to start the chase. Following a storm from formation to tornado is a commendable feat! :-)
  7. Thanks for that. They were taken with a phone camera, not ideal but seem ok :-)
  8. Taken in Bristol just as a storm moved on the 23rd Jan 2014
  9. Thanks for posting these movies on Youtube, this second series is awesome. The video work, the editing and soundtrack make for a great atmospheric feel. I hope this is working well financially for you. Episode 5 is fantastic. We chased that storm in the Floydada area however the red dust kicked up meant we couldn't even see beyond the bonnet of the car! Can't wait to see Episode 6 to see what we missed out on :-)
  10. What do people feel the drought will mean regarding storm development? Is it likely to inhibit tornado development in the Panhandle area?
  11. I've watched most of the series and love them :-) Are you planning on heading out to the plains again next year? I think I heard from one of your movies you only go out every other year? Next year will be mine and a mates 3rd year in a row....so addictive! :-)
  12. Hi guys, i've watched 2 episodes, love it! The quality of the image is top class and the way the movie 'tells the story' is great. I'm just struggling to get the subtitles to appear, any tips?
  13. Yes, it's a shame thought it wouldn't start raining until around 5pm, hopefully will clear in time for the fireworks :-) Tomorrow looks alot better, more sunshine about a 50% chance of a shower, what do you guys think?
  14. There seems to be a chance developing that the thundery plume come up from northern France on Saturday could develop. Looking at some models there could be a development on the western edge affecting eastern Wilts, north Somerset, Bristol and Glocestershire. I know it's early days as far as the development of this type of weather system is concerned. Let's see how things go :-)
  15. Good pics mate, unfortunately I have very restricted views out of my windows. Let's see how the news reports it in the morning :-) Totally agree mate. Best in quite a few years! Off to bed again now, you still planning on chasing tomorrow?
  16. Hi, I'm in Totterdown, was woken up at just after 3am, so far had 30.1mm of rain (7mm in 4 mins at one stage!) and several close CG's Looks as if the worst (or rather best!) is over now.
  17. We have had a right pasting here in Bristol. Been going for less than an hour. 22mm of rain and several close strikes. Mostly cc though
  18. It's currently looking as if parts of Wilts could encounter some storm development during this evening especially as some echoes are now appearing there. These should drift north.
  19. It's currently 31deg here in Bristol atm. Looks as if cells are appearing east of here at the moment, will be up very early tomorrow to hopefully have some chase time as off work all day :-) There appears to of been a lightning strike but can't see anything on the 16.45 radar, will check out the next update.
  20. It's currently 31deg here in Bristol atm. Looks as if cells are appearing east of here at the moment, will be up very early tomorrow to hopefully have some chase time as off work all day :-)
  21. Hi guys, i'm in Bristol and am off work from 3pm Monday until the early hours of Wed. Get back if you have transport and fancy a chase companion with experience and mobile internet :-)
  22. Like the look of that cell just to the south of Bristol. I know it's just a model, but if that one to south of Bristol forms and moves north we'll both be very happy men!
  23. Liking the video diary Tom, the low level moisture is looking good :-) Hope you manage to get north in time to make the most of the moderate risk :-) 3 of us will be out tomorrow, can't wait!!
  24. The stream is showing a nice storm developing, will stay glued as long as I can, good luck! :-)
  25. Hope you guys have a great day. Will try and catch you on streaming.
