Quite dark and very humid here now with occasional light convective rain. Heard a distant rumble not long ago but that's about it.

-
Turned hazy this afternoon. Still reached 25.4°C

Uninterupted sunshine all day. Feels very warm even with a slight breeze. Reached 24.7c not long ago.

It's interesting how rainfall amounts varied for July in different areas. Here we managed 32.6mm, nearly half or which fell in 15 minutes last Thursday.

Was 20c all last night with a brief low of 19.3c at 1:55
That's quite a difference from the 13.4c it dropped to here.
-
Reached 31.3c here. Certainly feels hot in the sun. Nice in the shade though with the breeze.
-
Finally summers arrived reached 29.6c not long ago. 29.3c now and rising again.

Temperature wise it hasn't been too bad here although it could be better. It's the almost constant cloud cover which is most annoying about this summer so far.

I can't remember which day it was perhaps around 4 weeks ago, but today is a carbon copy with a train of downpours on a convergence zone moving right through the Salisbury area while the South Coast is glorious as are areas to the North, like here, where it's been lovely with warm sunny periods since mid morning
A bit like here. 8.8mm this afternoon yet a few miles away haven't had any rain at all today.

I've been in the Bishops Waltham area most of the afternoon and it's been warm and sunny, not a drop of rain and I hadn't even realised there was a risk today but thought the sky to the north looked quite stormy! Just got home and checked the radar, a bit surprised there hasn't been more electrical activity.
Shows the difference a few miles can make. 8.8mm so far today all fallen this afternoon.

Been sat under that rain all afternoon with moderate to heavy rain almost non-stop. Feels very humid despite the temperature dropping from 21c to 15c in a short space of time along with the strong wind.
-
I don't think I can remember a cloudier start to a summer than this. Yesterday was a nice break from the cloud but today it's back to cloud and occasional drizzle. Doesn't feel that pleasant either.

A bit far away for me to hear any of it from here. Just showed distant lightning at the cricket.
