  1. North Wales by the look of it, heading North East. I think you might catch something in the next 30 mins. Something just brewed up over Manchester/ Rochdale and low and behold..completely avoided me. 1 distant rumble for me so far and some light rain...
  2. Thunder heard in the distance coming from rochdale! YESSSS!
  3. Some activity kicking off over north west wales, hopefully it will make it up here. Started raining now and the sky is turning really dark.
  4. Welp, I think I'm off to sleep for a while, nothing going to happen here I reckon it's too far east and will continue to be for the rest of the day.
  5. Is there a chance of them cells to the West of Wales developing and reaching here? Everything is kicking of a bit far East to reach these parts at the moment.
  6. Not sure if this has been pointed out already or not but check this out! http://www.isleofwig...o.uk/discharge/ Most active days: Rank 1, 57873 Strikes, Date: 28-06-2005. I hope today is as active if not more, what a coincidence.
  7. Cell over Exeter is throwing out loads of lightning, seems to be intensifying and heading towards Bristol? This is going to be a great day for the majority of us storm lovers me thinks.
  8. All starting to kick off on the south west coast now. Looks like some people will be getting an early wake up call, looks very angry on the detectors.
  9. Absolutely lashing it down here. Gust of 59.4 MPH recorded, wind speed 38.8 MPH and 19.5mm of rain so far today.
  10. Don't worry mate you didn't miss a thing here. One strike detected in Queensbury area i think but that's it. It was too far east again over Leeds and York. There wasn't even much rain it's been overcast with small showers and drizzle. Look North said we might be in with a chance tonight, the clouds certainly look stormier than earlier but idk.
  11. Sorry to ask this but could someone with more experience than myself give their opinions if I still have a change to see storm? Sigh* even 1 rumble will do it's been about 3 years since a thunderstorm for me
  12. Still nowt here . Everything seems to have passed over and kicked off further north or is too far east. Havn't given up just yet but am getting a bit worried! Enjoy your show anyhow
  13. It's pretty bright here, keeps going dull and then the sun comes back out. It does look pretty mean to the east though. Waiting to see what comes up from the south, still confident and plenty of time left.
  14. Nothing here yet. Skies are very dark though and there's something moving in from the south. Still plenty of time though and i'm more confident of catching some electrical activity than I have been all year.
  15. This picture is from Norman, Oklahoma from April 23rd 2011. I am not the photographer I just wanted to share this amazing picture.
  16. Nothing to report here really, very boring day weather wise as usual . Had 1 quick heavy shower earlier but it's been dry and partly cloudy since. Sky is starting to get a bit darker now but I'm not expecting anything electrical for the rest of the day.
  17. Meh..scratch what I said, just been out for a look. Some very messy skies, dark purple patches with some breaks and sun shining through and cumulus developing to the east / south east. Started raining quite heavily now aswell. First thunder storm in 2 years?? I hope so. Sorry for my terminology I am a complete newb.
  18. Not much happening here. It was bright and sunny earlier, clouds bubbled up now it's just grey and raining lightly. Still time i suppose.
