    Turning the heating on in AUGUST is unthinkable. It's warm enough down here (Brighton, East Sussex) at the moment. Think I'll wait until at least October.

    I'm ashamed to say that my heating was switched on tonight. 11C is the lowest temperature forecast this evening. I am right on Brighton and Hove seafront though so windchill is a major factor.

    Great thread and one I'll be watching fairly closely. A repeat of 2009 / 2010 would be perfect. I hate cloudy/wet winters.

    We, as an organization have made silent predictions on what Winter/Spring will bring, however I've been looking on the net for long range forecasts and most of them tell different stories. So, I thought I'd join this online community and seek thoughts on 2012/13 snowfall. Maybe we can keep this thread going until March 2013...?
