[How can typhoons make their way as far as Tokyo region?]

Hi guys,

 

we all know that typhoons need warm ocean temperature to survive.

 

What I don't get is how typhoons can make their way as far as Tokyo region since the ocean temperature in this part of the world is relatively low (around 20°C these days, although I know we are only in June)

 

If someone could give me some info

I came across an article about Aruba, and I was surprised by the weather of this Caribbean Island

It is so dry compared compared to the other Carribean islands! How come?

What's more, contrary to the the other Caribbean islands, the "wet" season occurs in winter.

Also, I don't get why it s so windy.

If somebody could answer my questions...

Eilat, Israel's southernmost city, located at the northern tip of the Red Sea, is usually know for its VERY dry weather: in 2010, Eilat received only 2mm of precipation, and in 2011, only 1 mm!

But, yesterday, Eilat received 16.5 mm in just one hour!

In the last 5 years, the city has only received 15 mm.

I found this on Wikipedia, I don't know if it's right though: "Honolulu experiences a tropical savanna climate (Köppen classification As) with a mostly dry summer season due to a rainshadow effect that suppresses summer rains"

I have always wondered why Hawaii dry season in summer, and wet season in winter.

In a typical tropical climate, dry season is in winter and wet season in summer (e.g. in the Caribbeans, Florida, Mexico, Mauritius, Nothern Australia).

Hawaii seems to be an exception.

Why?
