Full on rain here so far the snow would have to be very heavy to stick. Cold air starting to undercut so should turn soon. But a slushy mess looks most likely.

That is interesting, as GFS shows 10 degrees for Tue/Wed, very early to issue a warning? as it was yesterday for tomorrow
Agree they issue these warnings way to early as this weekend has shown. 24 hours to go should be when they issue the warnings especially when the models don't agree.

There’s 24 hours to go that’s a long time in a marginal situation as we all well know
True but this one never been confident off coming off. We shall see later on i suppose.

I wouldn’t be so brash still, think it can still tip in our favour. I’d say 20-30% chance still of an accumulation.
More like a 5% chance maybe and thats just for a bit of falling snow. Its just to marginal mate and this time we are on the wrong side.

I always find if your in the initial warning zone with a few days to go its not a good thing. As its always going to move North or South especially in marginal situations.

MET cancel Yellow warning. Still think there is uncertainty going forward so not taking this as a huge downgrade or anything just yet. Last snow event is kind of proof of how unpredictable this winter has been.
Nope this one is done. Long term looks much more promising though.

Well at least the will it won't stress is over for the weekend now mainly rain with a chance it turns to snow briefly. This was always to marginal tbh especially with a huge warm sector mixed in the front. I think even the new warnings will be removed by tonight.

Definitely seems to be trending South but can't complain if it misses me more than satisfied so far. 12 snowfalls 8 lying days of snow and countless frost's and air frost's thrown in. Think South mids will be in for a few cms but the last one went North after looking like it was going South so who knows I guess.

Dry here but expecting rain soon. Next chance Sunday but looks an outside chance.

Few flakes blowing around in the wind here might start as snow but won't last as the rain moves in. Rapid thaw incoming.

Just took dog out for morning walk. Last night added around 4cm putting us close to 15cm. Its nice fresh snow on top but compacted ice underneath so very dangerous driving conditions. Yesterday was truly a memorable snow event and glad we all got to share it together.
Stay safe guys and enjoy the snow before it melts. Should be a rapid thaw mid afternoon with clear skies and sunny conditions. Current temp -5 here. Wonder did anyone break -10. ❄

Only problem is its raised the bar now lol. Dustings or 1 to 5cm won't cut it anymore lol.

Its the never ending snow day lol. Look at the sky its gone all peachy in color as the snow lashes down.

Coming down really hard probably added another 2cm. Roads are completely gone again. Looks good for a few hours yet here. This is now the best snow I have had since 2017.

Yeah although the W.Mids has recorded more days of falling snow/sleet than the E.Mids (for the most part), when you probs combine total snowfall this season (including this event), it should now be more even, although I still think Stoke probably has had a higher total combined snow depth
Matlock or Buxton is the clear winner.

Light snow starting again here.

Happy snow day evreone.❄❄❄
Glad all the Midlands got snow. Nice few hours in the hills sledging and enjoying a nice snow walk with the family. To the one dude concerned earlier I went with family and stayed in my family bubble and avoided people.
Looks like its coming back down to leave a few more cms widely across the mids might push me close to a wopping 15cms.
Models are hinting at a repeat performance next weekend also lol.
Make the most of it guys and girls especially in these tough times we deserve some Joy with our family and nothing better than making a snowman or sledging. ❄?

Be very careful getting up there the roads here are terrible and it’s pretty deep
Deffo still moderate snow here falling after heavy snow since 7ish. Looking good later also. Get up the Lickeys mate.

If this comes back South like models forecast, parts of the Black Country could be heading towards 15cm by the end of it all.
Already hit 10cm. Going up Lickey hills in a minute for some Winter Olympics lol.

Doesnt add up with the radar lol, Similar reports from everyone its like its being shown to be 10/20 miles further north east than it really is
Yh its snowing here and all around Birmingham now. Radar shows it bone dry. The radars are having a nightmare its clearly stalled and pivoting now. No sign of it stopping at all here.
