That is interesting, as GFS shows 10 degrees for Tue/Wed, very early to issue a warning? as it was yesterday for tomorrow

Agree they issue these warnings way to early as this weekend has shown. 24 hours to go should be when they issue the warnings especially when the models don't agree.

I wouldn’t be so brash still, think it can still tip in our favour. I’d say 20-30% chance still of an accumulation.

More like a 5% chance maybe and thats just for a bit of falling snow. Its just to marginal mate and this time we are on the wrong side.

MET cancel Yellow warning.  Still think there is uncertainty going forward so not taking this as a huge downgrade or anything just yet.  Last snow event is kind of proof of how unpredictable this winter has been.

Nope this one is done. Long term looks much more promising though.

  4. Definitely seems to be trending South but can't complain if it misses me more than satisfied so far. 12 snowfalls 8 lying days of snow and countless frost's and air frost's thrown in. Think South mids will be in for a few cms but the last one went North after looking like it was going South so who knows I guess.

  5. Just took dog out for morning walk. Last night added around 4cm putting us close to 15cm. Its nice fresh snow on top but compacted ice underneath so very dangerous driving conditions. Yesterday was truly a memorable snow event and glad we all got to share it together.

Stay safe guys and enjoy the snow before it melts. Should be a rapid thaw mid afternoon with clear skies and sunny conditions. Current temp -5 here. Wonder did anyone break -10. ☃️☃️

Yeah although the W.Mids has recorded more days of falling snow/sleet than the E.Mids (for the most part), when you probs combine total snowfall this season (including this event), it should now be more even, although I still think Stoke probably has had a higher total combined snow depth

Matlock or Buxton is the clear winner.

  7. Happy snow day evreone.❄❄❄

Glad all the Midlands got snow. Nice few hours in the hills sledging and enjoying a nice snow walk with the family. To the one dude concerned earlier I went with family and stayed in my family bubble and avoided people.

Looks like its coming back down to leave a few more cms widely across the mids might push me close to a wopping 15cms.

Models are hinting at a repeat performance next weekend also lol.

Make the most of it guys and girls especially in these tough times we deserve some Joy with our family and nothing better than making a snowman or sledging. ⛄⛄?

Doesnt add up with the radar lol, Similar reports from everyone its like its being shown to be 10/20 miles further north east than it really is

Yh its snowing here and all around Birmingham now. Radar shows it bone dry. The radars are having a nightmare its clearly stalled and pivoting now. No sign of it stopping at all here.
