Hahaha, no problem, here are my 3 posts from earlier.
I really wouldnt take notice of the forecast right now, last nights snow was not forecast and even during the event most Nowcasts were showing nothing aswell, trust me, you will see snow later! Have some tea, a brew and come back!
I know i keep saying it, but the easterly this evening could turn out to be a decent event with coverage fromSkegness up to at least South Scotland, it woudnt suprise me if these didnt push as far as leeds!
I can 80% say that the easterly this evening WILL deliver, just take a look NW Xtra Radar from the past 4 hours, the band in the North Sea has just intensified more and more and is now pushing in, theres no reason why it shouldnt give us all a good dumping down the coast and further inland!
-
I dont mean to gloat, but im glad i reassured the people in leeds and sheff that they would see the beast from the east, glad it pulled off for you!
-
My son just shouted BLIZZARD at the front window.. Roads now covered again after a slight thaw today
Were in Hull are you?

That area of showers heading North-east are definitely moving inland now, we're starting to catch some heavier bursts on the edge of it now.
Temperatures still good too at 0.1C and a dewpoint of -0.6C.
Wind turns EASTERLY after 12am. So this is the time when things should kick off shower wise!

That's because the Easterly is only just starting to drive these showers on to land.... they aren't forecast to get going until this evening and overnight - once the remainder of the frontal snow has fizzled out. Feel free to ask any other knowledge member of these forums as to whether this is what's expected or not.
Can anyone step in and verify the above so SWFC may finally understand and take note?

I'm still holding on to this front delivering, time will tell!
I think people are underestimating the potential of the easterly tonight, we have seen many time before what these can do!
-
Judging by how heavy it is here, then looking at the radar, the East coast and N/E must be taking a serious hammering.
Very organised showers moving across now, take a look at HU4, were just about to see some heavy precip by the looks of it!
-
How can bbc show snow most of night and tommorow when it doesnt look much on radar?
Look to the east They havent even pepped up yet, they should make it to your region before midnight

This forum is getting so annoying, do people think that when they put "Im never coming back here ever again" or "Never again will i look at the weather" or "i will never get my hopes up again" they will make the weather go "ohhhhh no" make him come back and change the forecast, stop been so PATHETIC and get a grip!
-
Correct.
Pivoting, ask forecast.
Great, i like the sound of some more snow, living in Hull it looks like a direct hit!
-
If im not seeing things, its look like there is a serious Pivot happening, looks like East Coasts could get another plastering!
-
sun shining now, snow melting, pfffft, never again will i get excited a few days out of a possible snow event this was built up and built up, then we have been massively let down
My god, shhhhhhhhh, lol

My first ever RAMP on NetWeather but I really do have a feeling this time and nothing I read on this, the model thread or the strat thread is altering my view. In fact, the slow start is kinda re-inforcing my view as really long cold spells always seem to start this way.
Whether I am right or not, it looks like a week, possibly ten days, at the very least and things are still being put back by the models.
Here's hoping.......
Completely agree with you! Imagine if 2010 was the starter and the main course is yet too come.......

Snowing here in Hull, lightly but fairly good sized flakes!
-
Lovely jubbly from Meto!

thanks
Have you just tried using www.raintoday.co.uk
It helped me alot when i first started!
-
Still all to play for
Fingers crossed, but just within the last hour the front seems to have lost intensity, everything is crossed though!
-
The front seems to be weakening quite quickly, Game Over for Yorks & Lincs i think!
-
Just looking at the latest radar returns, and that's some organized ppn to the east, looks interesting to me,do we have a trough?
EH!!!
It sure looks like it!
-
I like what we see out in the North Sea!
-
Looks like some showers coming in off the north sea along the Humber area don't know if they will fall as snow here temps are a bit high at 3.5c dew point at 3.4c
Just falling as a light drizzle in Hull at the moment, radar is showing sleet though!
-
Any members on the coast with anything to report?
Hey, here in Hull just drizzle!
