Was a lovely morning here until Mrs Big Snow announced we are going sofa shopping for the new house. DFS and SCS with the never ending sale that ends monday. sunshine and blue skies here today.

Totally agree, its not a nice place to be in winter months. unless its snowing in the south east of the UK then winters a bust and all the toys are flying about. Scotland could be buried under 2 foot of snaw and nobody would notice. apart from us in here of course..

war breaks out in the MOD thread over a cold pool to the North East.... in September yes September. gonna be a very long 6 or 7 months.

I totally missed 2010 due to swine flu.. just my bloody luck. 2017/18 was just unreal and TBFTE was stunning just stunning, will we every see a repeat? 2018/19 was not great but still had 3 snow falls in winter and then 2 in March, nothing amazing but good enough for fun and games with the little Big Snow's.

Memories........... most amazing week of my life that was... the only dry thing about it was when i ran out of buckfast and beer after day 2.... i was dry the next 4 days....

im gonna go back over the last few winters Scotland threads just for a bit of fun. will be good to see the snaw pictures... blimey i must be sad. or really bored or really bored and sad...

Long range forecasts..... if we got what they said every winter at some point we would all be bored of snaw.... if anything im glad they are showing a very bad winter for snaw as we normally get the complete opposite... so i expect 90 days of snaw and ice..

i step away for a watch of the cricket, what did i miss? also in other news the move North to Aberdeenshire has been brought forward by 8 weeks so will now be in on the 1st of November.. Landlord tells me it snaws almost every winter at some point. i cant wait, bring it on.

Another cool dull windy morning here. the air certainly has that smell to it, winter isn't far away.

in the house we are currently in its a gas stove, horrible thing it is and i cant get on with it, the new place has an open fire in one reception and a multi fuel stove in the other. looking forward to using them in the winter.

It has got a little brighter now but the wind is still blowing away. i did put washing out but had to bring it back in as it was getting blown off the dryer.

Very dull here today grey damp and a cold wind. may even have to put the heating on in September, never before have i had to do that.

14 weeks today and we will be leaving Crieff heading to the hills of Aberdeenshire. just hope the snaw holds off so we can make it.

Have just had a browse around some of the other threads and i cannot believe that some folk are already calling the coming winter a bust. blimey im glad im disappearing to high ground. doom and gloom i tell thee doom and gloom.

what site did you buy it from? had a good look at the website and they seem to have a very good collection, i see they do visitor tours... could be some fun and games, maybe we could have a netweather meet up and a tour all in one. another very nice day here today warm in the sunshine still but the wind has picked up some what over the past few hours. tomorrow looks horrible again.
