  1. I agree with that sentiment, I think we will still be able to see some snowfall from Friday's event without to much disruption to the colder sustained period, possibly more so over Cambridgeshire, Norfolk....what path can you see the snow taking Friday?
  2. slinging a pair of shorts on as I was running late to pick the misses up from work at 6 a.m wasn't the greatest idea!!
  3. Hmmmm Ulrika Johnson used to do the weather...wonder what sort of meteorological training she had lol
  4. I do poke my head in occasionally but sometimes it takes so much time to pick between the good posts in between the bickering lol what would be really top drawer and appreciated would be if some of the more knowledgeable forecasters would put a pic of a model up and explain why it is "epic" and what on the model snap shot is causing to happen what they are saying is happening, would really help newbies like myself....e.g someone posts a model and says "epic snowfall for the east" but for me as a newbie all I see is a map with squiggly lines lol
  5. I can't imagine any of the schools local to me opening tomorrow, not with the temps expected to stay sub zero...temperature is dropping off rapidly here now
  6. Oh yes indeed...kids are loving it and so is the dog!!! this shower showing red on radar....bring it on lol
  7. not sure how reliable it is, my daughter overheard 2 teachers talking about it.....however the dereham slip roads are closed lol...looking at the radar showers are queuing up over North Norfolk, glad i've already collected the kids from school
  8. snowing again here now, with a long band of snow stretching up to North Norfolk looking set to track right over the top of us!! on a more serious note I am hearing of a very serious multiple car crash on the A47, my father in law has been sat static at Easton for close to 2 hours...so take care and God speed if you have a journey to make
  9. wow, just got hammered by blizzard like conditions for over an hour...2-3 inches falling....looks like another thinner band now over us...loving it
  10. doesn't seem to be dissipating much as it heads in land and its only 10 miles from me now
  11. looks like an epic band of snow heading in off the north norfolk coast on the radar!!! and coming straight towards me :0 happy days again
  12. I swear Look East on the BBC just used this exact picture when talking about the cold!!! quality lol
  13. if "snow" is a euphemism then you are beginning to sound like my misses lol [also joke in case anyone was wondering lol]
  14. NR19 - excuse quality of pic as had to use iphone as my brother has borrowed my camera!!! typical lol
  15. and here comes the heavy snow again...being so close to the pivot point should definitely benefit already have 3 inches laying so can't complain if don't get too much more
  16. BBC forecast just showed the wrap around and it looks like it will hit where I am which should see a few more cm of snow with any luck
  17. The front looks very narrow on the radar, and fast moving, started snowing an hour ago, and I feel it will pass through in around an hours time, quite disappointed to be honest, can't see it slowing neither
