  1. Also looking at the current radar, i'd say the showers are now moving very slightly ENE - WSW, so large parts of the region should get a top-up over the next few hours.
  2. Although Gfs, Ukmo and Ecm are agreeing on a breakdown, I wouldn't say it's nailed yet. Theres differences at +36 and I doubt we're going to have a 940mb low to our west as per the above ECM next Saturday. Plenty of time for it to change.
  3. Looking at the radar, could be a day of heavier snow showers for the north of the region and flurries to the south. Just had a very light snow shower in Boro. Feels much milder than it has lately as well.
  4. Moderate snow in Middlesbrough, small flakes. Walked from Thornaby to Acklam in glitter like snow about 7.15ish then about 7.45 we had a much heavier spell. Has been steady since about 8. Probably a couple of cm on pavements.
  5. Morning all. A lot of showers building up in the North Sea including a line currently off the North Yorks coast stretching down to Norfolk which looks like hitting T&W.
  6. Some lively showers beginning to clip the coast of East Yorkshire. When are we expecting the wind to turn easterly enough for them to affect the NE?
  7. I'm in Linthorpe too Snowmaggedon. Should catch a few more over the next couple of hours looking at the radar.
  8. Woke up about 20 minutes ago to a covering on grass/roofs in Boro. Been snowing heavily ever since and is leaving a covering on pavements and roads. My bus journey to Thornaby in an hour will be interesting.
  9. Don't think it's part of the decaying front GS, it started as a fairly small line of precipitation off the coast of Aberdeenshire and has grown in length/intensified over last couple of hours.
  10. Certainly getting a bit more interesting snowmad09. Probably worth keeping an eye out over the next hour to see if the southern end intensifies and pushes into Tyne and Wear and hopefully Teesside after the day we've had.
  11. Snowing very lightly in Middlesbrough (Linthorpe), far too light to settle at present but flakes are increasing in size a little bit.
  12. Getting slightly heavier and settling on pavements and cars, not roads yet though. Hopefully a couple of hours before it turns back to rain if the ECM meteogram for Middlesbrough is to be believed.
  13. Snowing in Linthorpe, Middlesbrough. Quite light at present and not settling but nice to see.
