  1. Hi all, i will be glued to the window for a wee bit lamppost watching come sundown. Clouds are fairly skittering across the sky now ? Trying to be all casual about it to the kids in case we end up with hee-haw, but I'm a bit giddy!
  2. It's fairly coming down now in Bo'ness, laying on top of the dusting that's still here from 9am. 'Mon the snaw!
  3. What a racket out there now! Dog has already jumped in the bed and I think the kids won't be too far behind.
  4. Snow shield is currently being breached in Bo'ness!!
  5. Really intensive hail shower out the blue now. What a racket. Quickly turned the garden white but looks like it will fade quickly.
  6. The hail is pelting down in Linlithgow just now. Not a nice day to be out.
  7. I'm not ashamed to say I may have roared a wee bit at 0530 when the crack sounded like the house was falling down..... Absolutely wild here. Our fair weather dog has soundly refused to go out in the garden for a pee and is away up to bunker down on our bed. Kids are also trying to pull a fast one saying they can't possibly walk to school in that. Eh, they can.....
  8. Evening folks, Just had a wee excited look out the window at the lampost - and saw the moon and lots of stars and nothing else ( well, the hedges were fair blowing about). Here's hoping for the next few days that SOMETHING can get passed the snaw shield.
  9. What a noise, sounded like cannons going off overhead. Looked out and the ground was white with hailstones. Feel a bit sorry for my auld auntie looking after my dog tonight, she'll be going nuts.
  10. Have now watched horizontal snow flying through Linlithgow high street for 5 hours constant, and there are still large dry patches on the pavements. The rest is just wet grit. Absolutely bitter out there today.
  11. Also in Lithgy, getting pretty sick of watching all the rain. Wee bit sick with snow envy as well! Enjoy it if you've got it. There's always February, there's always February, there's always February......
  12. Just wet sleety stuff in Bo'ness and Linlithgow. My sons taxi driver said there was a fair bit in Grangemouth. Grangemouth!!!! I'm further up the hill. Snow cursed I tell you, cursed. LOL, thankfully I didn't get my hopes up this time or even mention it to the kids.
  13. Afternoon all, feels bitter here today. And today as every day nota a snowflake in sight. Is there a good app or website to find out how high ASL you are. I have rough idea but want to see how wrong I am!
  14. Nope, not a thing here. Someone in this area has angered the snow gods...
  15. Well Linlithgow just got a lot heavier, almost horizontal blowing up the high street.
  16. Nope not giving up. Not a snowflake in sight out my works window in Linlithgow but our favourite Norwegian site says between 12 and 6pm it will be snow. I still believe! I may be straw clutching though.....
  17. Glued to the window, staring at the lampost. If sheer will could bring the snow down I would be erse deep, but no. Nothing yet Quite fancy a snow day with the kids tomorrow...
  18. Ooh, just started snowing again in Bo'ness. Hoping it will add to the patchy 1cm on the ground!
  19. Finally starting to cover the decking in Bo'ness now. My front path would have looked braw but my neighbours have gone to town with the grit! Bit more should sort that out and I will shovel their path gladly in the morning. Kids are staying at grandparents in Edinburgh - they are hyper.
  20. Brrr, chilly baltic walking around Linlithgow Loch to get to work. -1 here, didn't have to scrape car (well, until I stupidly put the washers on and had to pull over and THEN scrape the car) Can't see a single cloud in the sky from my window, very pretty.
  21. Alright folks? Have been lurking in the shadows for a while now but it's time to step out and join the others mental enough to watch the lamposts. It took me a while to get here via lurking on the MT (jings, there is some cases on there). Nearly I lurked last night to ask what TOORPing was but someone else beat me too it. Hope you are all lucky with the snow, I bought the kids new snowsuits in December - they WILL wear them before the month is out whether I have to chuck talc at them and tell them it's warm snow. I fear 2010 has spoiled them though.
