what amounts of snow do they need before they can start skiing.

Maybe we're all being a little ahead of the game. We know the info's out there now but until she's in the Gulf and cat. 2 or above I don't think this side of the pond will bother with her.
On the other side of the pond I wouldn't mind betting FOX and CNN already have reporters nailing themselves to the sidewalk of every town within the forcast track.
and how is G.W. Bush going to feel if the Billions $'s already poured into a the badley hit South gets wiped away by another bashing from a CAT. 3 or above forcing him to find further Billions $'s to spend on the region just to get him back to where he's at now? A.G.W. or not I think he may take the climate and it's potential impact upon millions of vulnerable U.S. citizens more seriously now!<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
lol every town if that takes a turn it could go anywhere on the south coast so they would have to have a whole load of reporters

i am not suprised i new it was snow soon as i looked at it and i new it was forecasted because i looked at the snow forecast site.

I think it's just frost....it's not quite cold enough for snow up there. Daytime temperatures reaching a minimum of 6C with a windchill factor of 2C.

well it was -1 at 1200 m at 10 o clock not sure what the current temp is though it will be snow as it was forecasted.

it definately looks like a dusting of snow and it was forecasted on the snowforecast website. -

They closed the schools because of a 2cm covering that is totally ridiculous up where i live thats just a a dusting to us basically :blink:

yes well we can't deny our climates changing anymore just take that for instance daffodils coming out in january
thats gotta tell you something.the other day as well in the costa del sol it was sunbathing weather and temprtures up to 25c in january

yes i agree with you there you never no what to expect these winters now we have not seen a long cold snap yet this winter this is whats concerning, me like the past few wintgers we have had times with snow lying for 1 or 2 weeks the max we had of lying snow far this year is 4 days that was in november

well we see a dusting as a dissapointment most other places its liek a miracle to them

i live in dronfield mate which gets alot more snow than sheffield i live on a hill about 210 metres above sea level. when it sometimes rains in sheffield we have snow
that snow league is wrong on mine because i have not reported a few snowfalls because i have not been on for ages.

we get more snow than even you in glasgow lol yet 6 miles down the road in sheff city centre it snows but never staysfor long

well move to derbyshire we get loads of snow here when its cold enough go to page 3 it was the 18th january and look at the topic of heaviest snow in years my pic what i posted are o n there then you will see what i mean by we get quite alot of snow here

it was snowing in sunderland where i was earlier and on the way back through durham there was a light covering there light snow here in dronfield derbyshire as well now

well hopefully the north sea will cool of and we will some cold pools in there and moving down the west side if ireland too that would bode well for a good winter i think wouldn't it.
