    Looking on radar the rain looks like it's in two fronts, I'm guessing the one further south is where the thunderstorms where expected to fire. It looks like that trough has really blown up. Not sure it will electrify.

    I'm sure that there's a storm to the NW of me heading very slowly NNE but also the line seems to be heading SE again very slowly. I'm I seeing things?

    Well after this mornings light shower it has been dry and sunny, looking at radar, looks like the heavy stuff that was to be here is in france, and to my east, it's a miss.

    Rain has started here, a bit earlier than the met warning. although it's not that heavy yet.

    Probably the best day all week to enjoy the cross channel ferry, view is all the way across. More importantly, the sea is the calmest I have seen it for days. More or less still.

    Day is quite nice here, sunny, although it's through thin high milky cloud, warm, not much wind about.

    All I can say is ouch with that one, it's giving me ear ache just looking at it.

    Slow moving thunderstorms, some would say the best type of storm weather, however they normally mean flash floods, I'm hoping not to much of that happens.

    Well turns out the second line also only brought light convective rain to Dover.

    So far just some light convective rain, got another line on the way though, wonder if that will do anything.

    Wow you can really see the speed these clouds are rising, haven't had that yet this year.

    Sky has gone from clear blue to looking ready for something to pop in the last half hour.

    Wash out yesterday, however today it's been dry and mostly sunny, however a very strong wind for the time of year. 58mph has been the highest gust.

    Just checked radar and even now the front is still just stuck over the channal it looks like.

    Rain heavier now, and wind is starting to kick in.

    It's raining here now but much lighter so far than i was expecting.

    Unlucky dami, that's the problem with the type of weather we have now. More like april than august.
