  1. Looks like to me EC has trended towards GFS, meaning no white Xmas for north Midlands southwards
  2. certainly GFS is constantly showing 10 degrees for Xmas Day, and todays UKMO virtually no chance of white Xmas north of M4, cold and dry Midlands
  3. UKMO dosen't look great for a white Xmas, too far south, cold and dry GFS looks poor as well, too far north, wet and windy
  4. GFS 00Z moved it north which is surprising! 11 degrees for big day, shows we're still in the game as I think low will be too far south
  5. Trends not great on the 12Z's, what was expected really, snow events just south of the M4, while we're freezin' our balls off in dry weather, while Bournemouth etc get buried
  6. Still believe it is a seasonal virus, will be same every year with hardly anything from Apr to mid Sept,
  7. Always believed the colder it is, more the virus spreads and worse it is
  8. weird this GFS run, further north than 00Z, hopefully fixed on 12Z
  9. Hopefully a trend South! we get a bit of snow on 23rd, but turning less cold on 24th/25th on the 00Z, fantasy snowfest though on 29th
  10. Aye, agree with this, my guess is any snow 24th to 27th will be S of the M4, with fronts not reaching far enough north, staying cold and dry
  11. Aye a battle developing! GFS though dropped it, will even settle for a 17th Dec '97 setup, timed for big day!
  12. Not really surprising models gone pants, E'lys won't happen unless Meto on board! never have been, and now models going that way
  13. In those days it went cold after, these days high likely to sink with a whimper with mild air moving south
  14. Not been mentioned much, I mentioned it, knew a write off was on cards with a wave front, anywhere north of around Cannock
  15. Perhaps wants to get me excited! something maybe afoot though around 23rd, signs on all models
  16. Is it a technical thread? I'm not technical but nearly posted charts about tomorrows horrendous rain forecast for the NW Midlands, being overlooked, probably because SE are going to miss it, and it looks like only affecting from approx Crewe to Coventry
  17. Kinda similar to last year! good snow here on 27th and 28th, bit more 31st and 2nd Jan
