Well this is a turn up for the books, it is snowing hard in Hereford, now settling on cars, despite a really wet day, we are forecast for heavy rain until 3am then snow, but looks like it has arrived much earlier.
Still very heavy thick snow here in Hereford, this is the best snowfall we've had this episode of cold weather. Last Friday's event was an all day one which gave us almost 12cm, but the snow then was small speck stuff. This is chunky, wonder fluff. All the thaw has been covered and back to lovely thick snow on trees and cars and roads. I suspect no schools open tomorrow if this sticks around.
As a newbie to the site - can someone explain to me why snow does not stick one moment and then it does - even on wet pavement/road - is it connected to the dew point temp?
Hi First post on here - have been following the convo quite a bit and getting vert excited about tomorrow's potential. Schools on my area (Hereford) have been put on alert and it is now currently snowing. Here's to tomorrow!!!
