Excellent post Su Campu, from what I can gather greatest risk is for south west ulster, very little precipitation in the far north east

Its a pity we don't have a Ian Ferguson locally who provide in-depth analysis and is prepared to the discuss medium range forecasts. Our local forecasters will never be drawn on anything past 2-3 days ahead and always appear to be reading from a script. That includes BBC and RTE!!

Doesn't look good for us on the north coast, might stay mostly dry here! Typical if it was rain it would be heaviest here!

Metoffice only update yellow warnings once/day in the morning around 11. Orange or red more often, as this is marginal definitely won't get an orange warning unless they're buried in a snow drift.

Met office still forecasting snow for ballycastle Friday night. Very light though!! But room for upgrade

BBC news line still adamant it's only sleet and hill snow on Friday. What charts are they looking at???

From what the more experienced forecasters are saying our best chance may be later in the month when systems come from the north or north east, this week will be poor as usual

Unfortunately in Ballycastle I'm too far North and East to see any snowfall, too close to coast! Require -8 uppers at least!
