Met.ie outlook for next week is very uninspiring. Colder Mon, Tues. Milder Wednesday (!), feeling colder Thursday again. Given what the charts are showing this morn, it's a bit strange. MO not exactly on board yet either.......slight cause for concern....or just very cautious?? -
Don't often post but have to agree with Rochey here. Much more often than not Met Eireann get it right. Their presenters can be quirky to say the least but the info they present is usually spot on. Over the years I have come to regard their forecasting as highly as the MetO. I often don't like what they are saying but it usually happens....!

Hey hey!! Great change of heart from met eireann today. They are so cautious, that I feel if they now say snow is coming , it's coming!

Rte/met eireann evening news update. Rain for Fri, rain for Sunday, rain for Monday. Not a sniff of snow. How can this be????
