    I'm currently at work in Byker and there is nothing more than a light dusting

    Seems to be losing quite a bit of intensity Just started coming down

    I traveled from Consett to Byker, the low road through Ebchester & Rowlands Gill was pretty bad, there must have been a bump further on as I sat for 30 mins without moving just going into Rowlands Gill, so I dived off and went through Winlaton Mill, once I got down into Blaydon the roads were clear.

    The main roads aren't much better, took me 1hr 50 mins to get to work

    Still coming down, main roads are shocking, yet again Durham County Council fail to provide a service. I'm sure they just don't even bother coming up here

    Thing is I've got twice as much depth wise in my garden compared to what they are reporting down south, you'd think it was Armageddon

    Anybody know what its like in Consett? I'm in Byker at the moment and toying with the idea of heading home shortly. Also how long is this band of precipitation likely to be over us for?

    Matty, the recent cold spell we have just had the charts showed us 10 days previous it would be mild, there is plenty time for things to change.....I think your just a little bitter as you banged on for days about how much snow you where going to get and guess what happened

    Carol Kirkwood has just done our regional forecast up till Friday, and she went for a few snow showers on Wednesday, dry and bright Thursday and Friday
