    Looks to be a steady stream of shower activity coming thorugh Bradford in towards the preston area, judging by the radar.

    Snowy quite abit in blackpool really fine though, looks more like drizzle. Temps Currently @ 1c

    GFS gone for the breakdown over the last few days, pretty much on its own, it also keeps pushing it back. However i believe that on last nights 00z runs ECM/UKMO moved towards the GFS in forecasting a breakdown in the cold block to our N/E.

    This mornings GFR 06Z run still going for snow over the whole region on sunday, lighter the further west you are.

    Still Some very light snow ere, adding a little extra dusting though. I think with regards to sunday/monday it nowcasting the best way, meto got the warnings right with regards to heaviest snow, however they and the bbc got the timings completely wrong.

    Living in Blackpool i would hope so, but if it does looks like heading towards cumbria. Seems to heading on a more north/east track now especiallly on the last hours radar. Hope it does come to us.

    Probably start to die off as it moves into chester, be interesting to watch though.

    Some snow now moving into Cumbria aswell looks like they might get a late present from the remaining front.

    Looks as though this area could make it into the far south of the region IMO. Its been making some progress north.

    It looks to be fizzling out pretty much where it started, it's not moved much at all.

    GFS 12z sunday going for light snow over the whole region, could intensify as it is still 60 hours from now. Sorry didnt realize thats the 06z chart the chart for 12z not made it there yet.

    cheers for reply, GFS due soon but i suppose were better off looking towards sunday/monday now and seeing what that might bring.

    This is the NAE forecast 12z has the whole region still under snow, still learning so correct me if i'm wrong

    What are the chances of the band of heavier ppn over n wales making it into the north west, just kind of sat there for the last hour?.

    Still snowing in Blackpool, but not as heavy think the band might be moving south now.

    Hi everyone, First post here!! Great thread by the way. I live in blackpool and it's almost blizzard conditions here, small flakes but strong winds. Can't quite believe it actually never really snows here.
