    Thinking of going to bed,but I cant,im sat here on the couch,got the curtains open,the outside lights on,and the blind on the velux open,Im waiting to see some of the good stuff,really got my fingers crossed that im in the firing line,im 70m asl,12 or so miles inland here in northiam,and the kent border literally over the river rother at newenden,surely thats good enough,hoping for some lake effect snow from the river as well,its only about 40ft wide at best,lol

    Deffo thicker cloud here in northiam,been watching the moon through the velux for ages,more or less covered now,getting tired though now,think the radar all nighter is going to be re-thinked somewhat,nice to see some action getting closer on the radar

    Waiting in anticipation for the 1st few blobs to appear,little disappointed with the downgrades at the moment,but hey ho,much can change,just going to enjoy the next 3-4 days,hopefully a great little spell of snow.

    Bloody nora,have I gone into the mad thread by mistake,cold and snow not even started yet,and people are getting their knickers in a twist over a bloody system thats 6 days away,jeez guy's,chill,we're on the cusp of something special,for the 1st time in 5 years,5 years,enjoy it,and stop moaning,we could live in siberia itself,and there would still be doom merchants

    Bbc forecasts have been appalling in my eyes,even yesterday they were showing temps of 7c in london,terrible,trouble is people believe it,my dad is a prime example,I told him 3 days ago,that there is a chance of some big falls of snow,he laughed,replying,there's nothing abput it at all on the bbc,said it might get colder,but no mention of snow,they'll be surprises this week,if you're in the sweetspot

    Astonished that people are worrying about the breakdown already,forget it,most have had no settling snow for 5 years,myself included,yet some are worried about rain,coming from a system that's not due to hit here for 6 days,SIX day's,never mind the fact that there will be some hefty falls over the next few days,forget friday,buckle up and enjoy the next few day's,what will be,will be,have fun guy's,ive already consigned myself to a day off or 2 this week

    Just a shame it doesn't come in sat night into sunday bad,got my girls this weekend,and where im living now,always does well,70m asl helps and im the highest point around,would have been nice to get snowed in,then they could stay for longer,lol,seriously,is it happening,I've not allowed myself to get hyped up,after so many let down's,but im getting just a little excited now for all of us here in the southeast,bring on the beast

    They can only go on what the models show them,nothing is set in stone regarding snow amounts,more so the further away you look,they'll be plenty of instability,troughs etc,that will pop up out of nowhere,very cold air arriving,coming across the north sea,which will hopefully produce some beefy snow showers,streamers etc,there's knowledgeable people in here,when they post,take note,watch the radar,strap yourself in,I have a feeling it will be a brill ride

    Dont worry,things are still on track,theres a few sleety snow showers showing up on radar,1 snow shower is only a few miles away from me

    Nice chilly easterly wind today,hopefully we'll get buried sunday onwards,we deserve a good few snow days/events,all for us below the m4 corridor,and rain for those above it,see how they like it,ha ha ha

    Too early for that yet,troughs will show up at very short notice,and streamers can set up as well,just keep an eye out as it gets nearer,plenty of great people in this thread with superb knowledge,that will keep us all informed

    Ha ha ha,have you seen the mad thread,some moaning that the south east could be in the firing line,and how unfair it is,do me a favour,you've had at least 3 decent snow events north of that dreaded bloody corridor,its high time we had some fun,BUT,I still refuse to get carried away,hopefully things will work out great,and we get a snowfest thats long overdue,until its in the reliable,I shall contain myself,lol
