    Radar shows the edge of the front to be around the M1 at the moment. Only a very thin band of rain and sleet at the back before it starts to clear up.

    Heanor only had 5 minutes at most of sleet/rain before it stopped.

    Stopped in Heanor. Bit of a thaw going on but not too drastic. Will be interesting how cold it gets tonight.

    Light sleet/rain now in Heanor but it will be stopping very shortly. Leaving a good amount to freeze tonight as well.

    Very thin now but looks like we're approaching the back end, may well be sleet/rain for a short time before it clears up.

    I'll be doing that on my way home. Snowing very heavy up here and has been since 10ish. No sign of it stopping and the sky still dark. Front stalling?

    Im at work in Heanor but live in south Notts. Is it getting bad there? Up here in Heanor its still going strong big flakes and loads of it. Settling on all surfaces now.

    I just wonder if the band might be starting to slow down. Looking at the Met Office observations it seems to be coming to bit of a stop..

    Had heavy snow in Heanor (85m ASL) since about 10 o clock. Just turned a bit lighter for a while now back to heavy stuck. Has been settling on wet roads although its maybe falling a little too wet at the moment.

    Snow has thinned out a little in Heanor. Not so heavy now and looking a bit wetter.

    Heavy snow currently in Heanor, Derbys - has been going for about an hour now. 0.9C no wind/ 0.1ms variable

    I ask because its often worse up in Mapperley/Carlton than places like Beeston or West B due to the elevation. Up here in Heanor its snowing heavily and settling on all surfaces now. Car tyre tracks from this morning are pretty much covered already.

    Snowing heavily in Heanor now and has been for about 45 minutes. Starting to settle on wet roads.

    Very light/fine snow here in Heanor (80m ASL), has been going for about 20 minutes. No sign of anything thicker yet.
