  1. just seen pics of Solihull town centre looks grid locked Same goes for some of the roads in my old home town of Halesowen
  2. Lets see where we are mid afternoon before we all start throwing the towel in people come on, just cause its not right outside our windows right now doesnt mean its not be a significant spell on a wider level. How many times has there been two red alerts for weather with a rash of ambers and yellows
  3. https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/warnings#?date=2018-03-01 red alert Devon and south wales
  4. red alert now out for devon into south wales amber alert for west midlands firmed up but same location as yesterday gets to worcester not birmingham
  5. bbc forecast i just saw on BBC News at his touching Brum area thru Friday but worst of it through Wales and Ireland. They did however say they werent sure of the track, but further east would be great for us
  6. Heavy burst going through here now limiting visibility must be the stuff that hit Warwick
  7. not us I know but parts of Scotland now got a Red Warning out. You dont see that often
  8. Theres no guarentees of course but Id be favouring the weather warnings and tv forecasts over the gfs at this range, ignore the Weather Apps. Thinks look ok going into Thursday to Saturday, very good for those under amber and not bad for those like you and I under Yellows for Friday. Still plenty to play for in my view, we could hit the jackpot but equally, we could lose our bets. Im enjoying the ride, its a hell of a rush, plus i got out of a train journey to London tomorrow lol
  9. Looks like Burton on Trent in the yellow area too me so thats something at least
  10. Warnings in the process of being updated. very confusing as to whats been updated and not as they no longer timestamp the warnings still amber for Sout Western part of Region and Yellow for rest of West Mids
  11. Currently having a burst of what id describe as 'proper snow'
  12. Im willing to bet a virtual pint that by Friday that the midlands, say Birmingham to be more specific, will be in an Amber zone
  13. Fingers crossed for my area and heavier looking burst heading from Coventry
  14. Good and balanced view of morning, edited above not to take up to much space. I still think things look potentially good for midlands for Thursday thru to Saturday based on current information, as MIA says keep faith, Sure overnight was a little disappointing but its only just missed us others are doing well
  15. You know its gonna end sometime dont you? Especially in March, least this way goes out with a bang of sorts
  16. getting the impression from model forum that Friday could go one of four ways 1, Heavy snow then low pulls south keeps us in cold 2. Heavy snow then a warm up 3. Snow misses us to the south but keeps us in cold 4. It comes North but brings freezing rain after some snow takes your preference
  17. Updated Yellow Warning for Eastern side of West Midlands and East Midlands for tonight, gets as far as Coventry and Nuneaton but not as far as Solihull https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/warnings#?region=wm&date=2018-02-26&regionType=area
  18. Remember everyone this is still only day one things have, can and will shift and change, chins up
