Don't take my word for it, check the netweather radar lol! The streamer is very narrow though so if I'm honest I'm not sure if its even gonna stretch to all of the Medway towns lol but we're still all under the heavier bit of the main band so even without the extra heavy streamer slither we're all good...it's all very messy this event isn't it!!!
Finally hit 0c now according to my phone. Which of course could mean anything between -0.4 and +0.4 - but trending in the right direction!

Medway crew - streamer incoming now so that should pep things up even more & yes settling is taking a while atm but the temp is still dropping so that should help too.
I hope you're right! ME2 here.

This gets my hopes up for later on and into tomorrow
Isn't that just the main frontal band though? Streamers are for this evening onwards I thought?

Snowing heavy here. ME2. Struggling to settle though.

Hello fellow Stroodie! Looking forward to the coming days
Hey! Looking forward to it too.
Such a shame that COVID means I'll be working from home. This Time last year I'd be having time off!

XC Weather, based on the 06Z GFS has me at 30CM by the end of Tuesday.
Snow continuing Wednesday through Friday which I am ignoring for now. But if it was to play out as currently modelled I would be looking at 50CM by the end of Friday.
Location: Medway, NW Kent.

Hi all,
Don't often post but now is a good a time as ever. Looking forward to tonight's snowfall and any possible streamers.
Trying to remember our snowfall totals from the BFTE in 2018. I think it was around 30cm. @Memphis snow may recall.
Obviously not as cold as 2018 so precip intensity not as great but hoping the frontal snowfall in addition to 3 days of possible streamers can get us in the 20-30CM range.

Gravesend a bit less hot than expected, probably because it saw the brunt of that thunderstorm last night.
Rochester fast approacing 30C (according to phone).
-
29C here (according to my phone) at 11am, so 34/35C definitely possible?
Medway

For me it feels noticeably less hot this evening.
I'd say my body has started to get used to the heat although the temp is around 23C which is a good 3C less than yesterday.
Have to say, I could definitely feel the humidity today though.

Light snow here for past 20 minutes or so. Getting heavier and more persistent as time goes on.

Heavy to moderate snow here in Wainscott, Medway. Couple of cms o grass and starting to settle on roofs but not roads pavements yet.

Actually quite sad that this is the end of it. Been enjoyable posting again and reading everyone's posts and reports.

@Memphis snow any update on our snow depth? Imagine it's difficult to get an accurate measurement given the drifting.

Suns gone down and it's already -4C.
Wish the winds would die down, could easily hit -10C here.

Some showers now just north of Sherness being fed into Medway Estuary. Let's see it anything falls from the sky this time.

Mid-Kent Streamer activated! Now we just need these shower cells to get a bit heavier!
The radar seems to be over doing the intensity of those showers. I should be under a pretty hefty shower right now. The clouds look menacing, but theres nothing more than a flurry.

Wind really picked up for a minute here. Blowing snow off roofs, never seen anything like it.
Took me a second to realise it is actually snowing again here as well. ?
-
Some snowy looking clouds to my north. Radar confirms some flurries hitting the Hoo Peninsula.
Not sure it'll reach here. Going a bit too East-west.

Fingers crossed for us. Maybe nightfall and 1 degree lower will mean we actually get some meaningful accumulations.
