Cracking snow cover in denmark lastnight

My name is helena and im addicted to snow(10)...last year i had SAD(snow addiction disorder) and had to go hill walking for my fix.
Nov 2010 was/is the holy grail of all snow falls....thunder storm and snow...

There's been floods as well, which I'm pretty sure there was in 2010.
Thats right...an we jad a bad storm a couple of days before hand also.

I feel alot of uncertanty regarding this winter...and last years good runs that went belly up is alsways gonna be in the backs of minds.. exciting times ahead imo but im a bottom grade novis at this.

Evening folks....just curious..how do we look 2day against say 30/10/09 an 30/10/10? Im just intregued as i think some1 mentioned we got caught out with these years and the cold did we not??

we have had alot of mist and fog these past few weeks in central belt...hopin all the indications are correct and dont fizzle like last couple yearsI am waiting to see fog in October, always a good sign for the upcoming winter. Weather folklore states that the amount of foggy days/nights in October equals the amount of snowfalls in the winter.(or something close to that) I had none the past two years and no snow.
Apparently it is as accurate as the OPI for predicting cold and snow. -
hope it keeps up..looking forward to to a cold snowy winter..think it will?Some decent cold beginning to get itself together ready for the UK to tap into for our super cold and snowy winter!

Hi..bit of an amiture here an tbh im more of a watcher but i was wondering...what the aparent el nino phenomenom on the cards this year along with the scandi block an azores high ....were these in all in place in 2010 and do you think we will have similar play this winter?
