  1. Temperatures in and around Leeds starting to drop. Looks like it might be a touch slippy in the morning. Unless you have Yaxtrax snow shoes* *other brands of snow grips are available.
  2. Looking at the radar i think S*unthorpe is manufacturing cloud and snow!
  3. I saw this earlier but the trajectory seemed to be heading further up the coast. Are you saying it's heading a little lower?
  4. If you look at the radar it seems there's a long tail which keeps is slowly drifting its way up through Leeds.
  5. Back up in Bramley where i live, temp is now -1.1c Snow in central Leeds a bit fluffier again. Looks like snow should stop in next hour or so, lack of cloud on the radar from there on in.
  6. Wind has all but gone. Show heavy but quite fine and wet. A cold night tonight, as it's due, and it could be very slippy tomorrow. Council have done an excellent job, aided somewhat by a lack of really cold temperatures.
  7. Still snowing heavily in Leeds (City Centre/University) Wind has stopped blowing so persumably this is why it's hanging around a little more. edit: a good 3 inches more snow up the hill in Bramley and a lot less slush. There was some melt even though the snow was falling earlier. I notice from weather stations that temperatures all over Leeds just dropping back below 0.
  8. Non settling in Kirkstall. SW Leeds. Currently very fine wet snow.
  9. Radar forecast shows snow hitting Leeds at 9pm. Little westward drift though, which is needed for the bulk of it to blow in off the coast. Forecast radar: http://www.meteoradar.co.uk/?type=radar-forecast
  10. Leeds City Council tweeting 8 to 15cms possible in Leeds overnight and in morning.
  11. BBC Forecast for Leeds shows heavy snow from 10pm this evening to 2pm Monday afternoon. Please be right!
  12. Thanks, id not factored in the effect of it squashing up against the pennines.
