Same as above been snowing for 12 hours here but nothing much to show for it. I thought by now it’s be settling on the paths etc but it’s actually making it wet yet it’s -1oC. Very strange.

Are you in Blue Bell Hill? I'm just down the road from you & all pavements & road are covered here. I've got a good few CMs on my garden table from today too. My daughter lives in Walderslade & said earlier that the roads here were worse than around her house, which is odd, because it's usually the other way around!

  2. Hi everyone! Haven't been about for a while.... We've got a new addition to the family, he's a Jack Russell Patterdale cross called Rocky and he's very very lively!!! He's got us out and about so much over the last few months and on the whole, the weather has meant we have been able to enjoy some lovely walks in the countryside - especially this weekend in the glorious sunshine!!

Well it's soggy and dull here today. It's such a tease having a few days of sunshine then back to this. Any hopes for a longer spell of nice weather anytime soon?

  3. Evening all,

All this talk of storms reminded me of a visit to my sister who used to live in Andorra. We went to see her one summer when all the snow had melted and there were alpine streams running through the beautiful mountains. Driving back from town during the day to where she lived (which was on a ski resort) we would see the clouds around the tops of the mountains and we had to drive through them up the Pyrenees to get to her village. The evening before we left there was a huge thunder storm and we watched for hours as the lightning hit the mountains. It was amazing and after that I never feared them again, instead I've found them amazing! I've never seen anything like that before or since but totally understand why people find hem scary.

BTW, She lives in Watford now....l not sure the storms there are quite as dramatic :)

  4. Morning all :) it looks so bight and sunny out today and everything has a layer of frost on it. Not ventured out yet but guaranteed its flipping cold out there!!!!

Congratulations Tom! I was brought up in Chislehurst (not far from Elmstead Woods St.) It's a lovely area to grow up in. I've also got a son with additional needs and I totally understand what it's like when your home doesn't support those needs. We've spent a fortune on adapting our home to the point we couldn't move even if we wanted to! All worth it though as we'd do what ever it takes to get him what he needs as I'm sure any parent would. Good luck with the move :)
