GFS 06z not an entirely satisfactory run although somewhat better than the dreadful 00z & at least hinig at a Scandi High

0.5mm of sleet is now headline news on the radio with one pundit asking us to look out for vulnerable neighbours & relatives! Apparently a ‘severe’ spell of weather is incoming. I mean, I ask you. in the meantime GFS Op maintains the cold throughout the entire run. Noteworthy but hardly ‘severe’.

Despite the mini drama, the EPS look pretty solid to me. In fact the longer term mean is a tad better than the 12z yesterday with tighter cold clustering and lfewer mild runs..
