Further reports of today's storms at Ukww http://www.ukweatherworld.co.uk/forum/thre...?threadid=14139

Hi Andy - that storm is now over the Cotwolds. I'm on the edge of it but over past hour we've had some heavy rain and near constant thunder, though no particularly spectacular lightning as yet.
Looks to be moving very slowly NNE so affecting Midland for the rush hour.

The tornado was actually just outside Daventry.
I'm sure Paul won't mind me posting a link to the thread on Ukww about it http://www.ukweatherworld.co.uk/forum/thre...=13942&posts=31
If anyone has any more info please do let us know

My other antique centre near Stow on the Wold has been flooded out No other details cos they're too busy to speak to me on the phone! I only rang them to see if the storm had reached them yet.
Here in Evesham some heavy/torrential rain but only distant rumbles of thunder. As usual, we've missed the excitement.

Sounds unlikely - there's certainly not been any other reports. However, he may have seen 2 funnel clouds, or, more likely, some trailing scud - which to the untrained eye could look like tornadoes (especially if he was driving at the time).! Unfortunately without more details it's impossible to say.

Aberdeen's welcome to 18c - just so long as it don't send it down here
Probably be the warmest it gets there or indeed anywhere in the UK this week!

We had a dusting of snow overnight that actually settled on the roads! instead of just cars and rooftops as on previous occasions Makes it the snowiest morning of the year!!!
Now, if only we could get a proper covering of, say, 5mm!
